Food was amazing but service was trash.A. the person who takes order doesn't write down the order.B. He forgot to get some of the items we ordered. No apologiesWhen u place order, ask the person who took ur order to repeat it back. Chances are that you might also get a missing item from ur order.

Hakka Legend Asian Cuisine Markham
Delicious Indo Chinese food. Tried their mango salad, fried rice and Hakka noodles. Everything was extremely tasty. The ambience was very cool. Staff and servers were very friendly and respectful. Much recommend place to go for Hakka Chinese food in GTA.

First time having Hakka. Don't think I made the right menu choices. Don't order the Manchurian chicken it was horrible. Order from the chefs specials, the table next to us seemed extremely happy with their food.

Worst experience with food, service, very unhygienic.While still at the restaurant, I feel compelled to share my experience at Hakka Legend in Markham in order to provide potential diners with insight. Unfortunately, my visit fell short of expectations, leaving me deeply disappointed. The quality of the food did not meet my anticipated standards, and the service I received was unpleasant.A notable issue arose when I ordered the Manchurian balls, only to discover that they were uncooked and inedible. When I brought this to the attention of the server, their defensive and rude response caught me off guard. They even touched the fork I was using to break open a manchurian ball, which raised health concerns. Instead of acknowledging the problem and working towards a solution, they insisted that the balls were cooked and dismissed my complaint. To exacerbate the situation, the server, who turned out to be the owner, arrogantly stated that even if the balls were replaced, the outcome would be the same, and I would be charged for both orders.This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and the lack of professionalism in handling the situation left me greatly disappointed. Any reputable establishment should uphold high standards in food preparation and address customer concerns with care and respect. Regrettably, Hakka Legend failed to meet these basic expectations.In addition to the poor food quality and unprofessional service, the overall ambiance of the restaurant was lacking. This unfortunate experience has diminished my desire to revisit Hakka Legend in the future.I cannot recommend Hakka Legend in Markham to those seeking a pleasant dining experience. Given the similarity of this review to others, I doubt that the management of Hakka Legend will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements in their food quality and customer service.

The food was good and it came fast as the restaurant was quite empty. The service was horrible. We have never seen a restaurant that does not serve hot water. And when we asked, the server responded very rudely that we don’t give hot water. That’s our policy. Then once our dinner was done, and when you go to pay, we find out that they charge 15% mandatory gratuity even if you are only 3 people and 1 kid. It does not say anywhere when you enter that there will be such a charge and nobody told us at the beginning either. On top of that, the server and service was horrible and it was not even worth paying that gratuity. The manager or owner should make it clear to every customer at the beginning so the customer is aware of this policy, this way the customer knows what they are walking into.

The food was prepared in haste. Chicken corn soup tasted extremely sweet. May be they added some flavored corn straight of the tin. They used packeted noodles which retained the pcketed shape after served. Go to the Scarborough location.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Hakka Legend in Markham, and I feel compelled to share my encounter with potential diners. What shocked me even more was when the server, who I later learned was the owner, touched my fork and used it to break open a manchurian ball to prove it was perfectly cooked. This raised serious concerns about hygiene and health safety. Instead of acknowledging the issue and trying to find a solution, they insisted that the balls were cooked and claimed I was mistaken. To make matters worse, the owner arrogantly stated that even if a replacement were provided, it would yield the same outcome, and I would be charged for both orders.This complete disregard for customer satisfaction and the lack of professionalism in handling the situation left me greatly disappointed. Any reputable establishment should prioritize food quality and address customer concerns with care and respect, but Hakka Legend failed to meet these basic expectations.On top of the poor food quality and unprofessional service, the overall ambiance of the restaurant left much to be desired. As a result of this unfortunate experience, I have no desire to revisit Hakka Legend in the future.I cannot recommend Hakka Legend in Markham. Given the consistency of similar negative reviews, it seems unlikely that the management will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements in their food quality and customer service.

Great halal chinese food at a reasonable price. Everything was very tasty, not too spicy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food arrived fast and was hot. Ordered fried rice, pakora, and garlic spicy chicken. Overall, fine dining and experience.
