Horrible experience!! The injections aren't helping. I have more spider veins now than when I first went. You’re whipped through your appointment, then pushed to buy overpriced stockings!

I only write reviews when I think I can offer something of value. I like to read reviews, especially before seeing doctors! I was worried. But it’s so hard to get to a specialist here in BC, and I needed one asap. I visited Dr Kamitakahara once. He offered treatment right away. Surprised by that (usually it takes a lot of wait and prep time for this), I said, ‘Sure!’ Professional, knowledgeable, efficient and caring. I had many of these treatments in the past, and his was the best by far. Still, more treatments to come, so I need to see more, but my first experience with him, staff, and Adrienne (stockings specialist), was excellent. Btw, I also like to read doctor’s qualifications etc, before seeing them, have you read his? Please do. So far, I have been very pleasantly surprised. Thank you!

Does what hes trained to do.No complaints.He is slightly moody, but i dont mind. I find it amusing.

My GP referred me to Dr. Kamitakahara for sclerotherapy on varicose veins that were causing me discomfort. I've had three treatments and my veins have disappeared with no side effects like nesting or discoloration (just temporary bruising). I'm very pleased with the results. I found the doctor to be very pleasant and patient - particularly for a busy specialist. I felt comfortable with him, both in terms of his personality and competence. Adrienne is an absolute sweetheart and set me up with the compression stockings I needed, making sure I had all the information I needed to submit the claim to my extended health plan. Laurie, the MOA, has a tough job running a hectic specialist office and like most MOAs needs to be efficient and direct in her communication while she juggles a million phone calls and pieces of paperwork between two geographically separate clinics. I will definitely ask my GP to refer me to this team again if I have any further varicose vein issues.
