White Sands PEI - Cottages & Campground

The cabins are clean and comfortable. The grounds are well kept and quiet. They have a nice playground with a sandbox and a very nice pool. The staff is friendly and helpful and they are only five minutes from Cavendish. Highly recommended.

The young girl taking the bookings was very nice and very accommodating, the prices are very reasonable. The camp is in a very obvious state of disrepair. The washrooms were dirty and in need of maintenance, the campsites were overgrown and and there was garbage around the sites. The main office building had junk and garbage all around the outside. This is obviously an older camp that has been taken over by new owners. It’s a good location and could be nice. I hope some time and money is spent to make things what they could be.

My husband and I are currently celebrating our honeymoon in PEI. We booked this campsite originally hoping to have a waterview but are so grateful that we came. We have a private site, its quiet and has shady areas to retreat from the heat. We stayed in one of the cabins due to heavy rain and were blown away with the price and cleanliness. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We extended our stay here and will likely extend again as you cant beat the location, price and service. Thank you for being such great hosts! Edit: We extended our stay twice and will not be leaving for a few more days. I went to the office to ask if they had washer toss or any similar games. At the moment, they didnt but the lovely lady working at the desk brought hers from home the following day for us to use. When i return, my husband has already been told that we'll be coming back to white sands. Hands down the best campsite I've ever been to and am so grateful to have met the lovely people who own and work at this site.

I'm a 15 year old boy, my Portuguese grandad used to own this place before i was born. All I know is that he worked his hardest to keep that place in good shape but he eventually gave it to someone, promising that he would let his family go to the pool for free. So after years of playing in that pool I started to realize that the condition of the place wasn't as good and that it was not really taken care of. Eventually that owner sold it to some Chinese I'm pretty sure but currently I do not know the condition of the place. But on the behalf of my family and now passed away grandad, I am truly sorry if anyone has had a bad stay

We arrived a few days after Hurricane Dorian hit PEI. The campground was fully operational. Our host, Josephine was absolutely amazing. Communication was top notch. She took the time to give us her favourite camp spot with power and water. We loved the area. Just a 5 minute drive each way to Cavendish or North Rustico. Josephine took the time to highlight restaurants and cafes in the area. We loved all of the personal touches!

Will not return to this property - OVERPRICED to say the least - dirty & not very well run - rags for towels & facecloths!!! Needs a major upgrade!! Pic shows the trash stashed beside the office!!!

Very dirty bathrooms and pool! They charge adult rate for 13 years and older for camping. Very quiet campground.

For anyone interested in staying at this campsite especially during the Cavendish Music Festival DON'T. They charged a group of 4, $400 a night for a tent site. That was not how it was advertised when the site was booked.There was never any toilet paper in the washrooms, washrooms were filthy and the showers were cold. The owner was gruff and ignorant to the point that his son who was working the front desk seemed embarrassed. When a complaint was made the woman who took the complaint didn't know what to say and promised toilet paper.

Good service; they gave us the information we needed when we called to say we would arrive late at night.Campsites are not so big, but ok for one big tent. There are few trees between campsites. However, there is only 3-4 picnic tables for 20 sites, so you need to ask for a foldable table at the front desk when you arrive.Bathrooms would need to be cleaned more often. Aeration should also be improved. There was no more paper towels during our entire stay (2 nights).Good location; really close to Cavendish and attractions around.All in all, good campground for the price.
