I used Insulspan SIP panels for the roof of my cabin. Big mistake! I didn't realize that it is fairly common that once installed, these panels are prone to thermal movement from expansion and contraction and the result is loud banging, cracking, and creaking noises inside the house 24 7. These noises can be creepy and scary in the middle of the night and wake you or your guests up. They are also non-stop. I contacted Insulspan and obviously they were aware of this issue but offered zero solutions. This is a serious problem and I've now experienced it for over three years. My advice would be to avoid the use of SIP panels in residential construction. Im a registered professional engineer (retirred)
