I have had a very pleasant and positive experience at this location. I specifically want to give a shout out to an associate at the store named Philip! He is amazing! So helpful, patient and kind! Extremely knowledgeable and spent so much care and time helping me decide what car seat to go with for my little guy. Buying a car seat is such an important purchase you will make as a parent and Philip is truly a STAR - not only his winning personality but a genuinely good human who is trying to help you make the best decision for your little one.The manager (don’t remember his name) was also very helpful when I wanted to return a big purchase to buy another version and was very helpful, kind and patient.

I circled the store 3 times to find what I was looking for. There were 4 employees in the back corner by the strollers having a conversation. When I asked the group of staff to help me one walked me over to the section and greeted another employee who was sitting at the UB display. It is a big store has lots of items but the customer service is terrible. When the cashier asked if I found what I was looking for I mentioned my experience and she didn’t respond. Not even, “oh I apologize, sorry you couldn’t find what you were looking for.” Not an isolated incident. Won’t shop here again. Not worth the frustration. I was there today at 1:30pm.

I’ve shopped here around 8 times out of necessity, and the one consistency I’ve come to expect is horrible customer service. Though I’ve found the sales people selling strollers and car seats to be helpful and hard working, I’ve had a bad experience with the cashiers each time I’ve been there. There’s not enough sales people but way too many cashiers that all don’t seem to be doing anything. I’m at point now where I’m willing to spend more money and drive farther elsewhere to avoid giving west coast kids my business.

I visited this location today with my toddler, baby and my mom. A salesperson followed us around the store and watched us as we shopped. She did not offer her help once, which made it clear that she was just watching our every move. My toddler was playing with some of the toys on display but I was keeping a close eye on her. She sat on one of the bikes, which are out on the floor to be tested and the salesperson actually gasped when my daughter sat on the bike. She did not ride the bike, she simply sat on it for maybe 5 seconds. I walked all the way to the other end of the store at this point to see if the salesperson would follow me and sure enough, she did. Meanwhile a customer had to flag her down multiple times to get her attention, as she needed help finding shoes. I had my baby registry at this location, I also shop here frequently but I am very turned off by this awful experience. I also made a large purchase today, which I am now considering returning. West coast kids, if you don’t want people to bring their KIDS to your KIDS store, then you’ve lost my business.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit to your store. As a regular customer, I have always appreciated the quality of your products, but on this occasion, I was left feeling neglected and unattended.Upon entering the store, I couldn't help but notice the bustling atmosphere and the apparent busyness of the store clerks. While I understand that busy periods can be challenging, it is crucial for customer service to remain a priority, regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately, I felt completely ignored and overlooked throughout my entire visit.The lack of assistance was particularly frustrating. Despite my attempts to seek help from the store clerks, it seemed as though they were too preoccupied with their own tasks to acknowledge my presence. There were several instances where I stood in close proximity to employees who were engaged in conversations or arranging merchandise, yet none of them took the initiative to offer assistance or even acknowledge my presence. As a result, I had to navigate the store independently, struggling to find the items I needed.This experience has left me with a feeling of dissatisfaction and a question about the importance your store places on customer service. It is disheartening to see such a decline in the level of attention and assistance provided to customers, especially considering the reputation your establishment has built.I hope my feedback serves as a constructive reminder of the importance of providing exceptional customer service. It is my sincere hope that you take this matter seriously and address it promptly.

This store needs a serious staff overhaul! I wish I didn’t have to shop here so much as it’s one of the only baby stores around anymore.But I have literally spent thousands at WCK since having my baby last October and EVERY TIME I shop here I regret it based off the customer service (or lack thereof) alone! I’m a manager in retail and it just shocks me how this store employs so many miserable people. You would think being a retail store that caters to parents and children they would have more patient and friendly staff.The only helpful employees are the ones working in the stroller/car seat department. They are the only ones to ever acknowledge us any time we’re at the store and ask if we have any questions. Then you get to the service counter and every single person working is just miserable. God forbid you have a question when you get up there, expect a rude, dismissive answer.You really would expect better from a high end retail store such as west coast kids. It makes me wonder if their stores in Vancouver are the same.

We needed some help on the installation of multiple parts for the infant car seats and stroller a day before our flight. Philip gave us extremely detailed instructions and helped us both on phone and in store. He was very kind and considerate throughout the process even though he doesn’t know us and we bought the products from this store a long time ago.All in all, Philip saved our day!! We will definitely come back to shop and recommend its products and services to friends and families.

For the second worse experience with this company! I advise all of you to buy products elsewhere! They have a sign on their desk saying lowest price guaranteed yet they have the highest price. I bought a baby breeza advanced pro formula maker from amazon for 199.99 for my parents house and I forgot to bring it. I live far therefore needed to purchase another one, I went to west coast it was 350$ and I told them since they have a sign we price match! They said no we don't price match amazon! Yet walmart has it for 199.99 and best buy. I ended up purchasing it from best buy. Again so many other products I purchased from them ended up being so much cheaper at dear born or other stores!

I absolutely do NOT recommend buying anything from this store. I’m not the type to write reviews even if a product or service was not satisfying but my wife and I were so infuriated with the whole ordeal with West Coast Kids that I wanted to warn people off this store. We ordered a product a month ago, June 11th, for an event, then about a week later, we received a notice that the product was shipped and being handled by Purolator. Another week later, we noticed on our tracking information that the product was on hold at a facility because apparently there an issue with our address. My wife checked again the address we provided during checkout and everything was good. Several days later, there was another update that the product is now being shipped back to the seller and since no one called us to clarify our address, we decided to call Purolator to figure out what was going on. Purolator said that there was an issue with how the seller entered our information in the shipping label so they could not even attempt a delivery. We provided Purolator our address again (the exact same one we provided West Coast Kids before) to update their information so that we could get our product and confirm with the agent that the product will be shipped to us instead of returning to the seller. A few days later, no update so we called Purolator again, they told us that the product was in fact shipped back to the seller so we now have to contact them to figure out the issue. We called West Coast Kids right after and we were told that it was our fault because we did not provide a buzzer code. We have never provided a buzzer code for any of our delivery orders because we have a security desk in the building and any delivery can be dropped there if they can’t reach us directly. Additionally, when we called Purolator twice, they never mentioned anything about a missing buzzer number. West Coast Kids gave us 2 options, either they can re-ship the product to us at an additional shipping cost or we can cancel the order but they will deduct the shipping fee from the refund. So, either way, they want us to pay a shipping fee for something we were at no fault for. Pretty much Purolator is blaming West Coast Kids and they in turn, are blaming us so that they don’t incur a loss on shipping. So I'm currently out of the money I paid for the product and no product in hand for an event that I have to go to this weekend.

WCK is our favourite baby store and we have purchased so many products from this location. Customer service has always helped us. I just can’t wait for the Burlington location to open up as it’s closer to home!
