I visited with a friend and we each had a stroller. The cafe is up a set of steps. There is a lift attached to the stairs but it was not working. The cafe staff happily helped us lift two strollers both up and down the stairs. This was so lovely and kind. The staff were also so nice to the babies. Thank you so much.

Great place for a nice lunch - my sandwich was delicious! And taking dessert home for later… so many yummy options I had a hard time picking.

I love the chicken basil pesto panini, it is so good and definitely the best in Waterloo for super cheap. They have many tarts, cakes, and bakery goods that look as good as they taste. The drinks are very good as well! Everything is not too expensive and good quality. Nice place to study. In addition, I love Daniella! She is so nice and welcoming. She makes great small talk and is so kind to everyone. The workers here make the cafe worth coming back to because everyone is so nice. 100/10 cafe!

Got a matcha latte and it was essentially milk with ice for $6. Very bad taste, with no matcha flavour at all ( this latte should be a vibrant green colour btw)Ended up just throwing it out.

Café 22 is beautiful, nice, and cozy with good tasting and beautifully served coffee, tea, and desserts. Everything I got looked and tasted great while being reasonably priced. The chocolate mousse is a must-try!

A hidden gem in Uptown Waterloo, Café 22 (22 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J 1N8) is so much more than a café. Independently owned by the Balta Family and serving true Italian food, this cozy eatery is the perfect venue for friendly hangouts and corporate meetings alike!I got the classic combination of a Caffè Latte and a Grilled Veggie Panini - truly one of the best cups I have had in a while, paired with the perfect food! Love this place!! This tart was insanely good. The staff were also incredibly friendly and I loved the atmosphere. Great place to chill and read a book.

I've been wanting to go to this cafe for so long after reading the reviews. Let's say, I was not disappointed. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance and atmosphere chick and relaxing . I love the decor and furniture. The prices are reasonable.The only bad thing is that I went late as they were closing the kitchen, so I couldn't have a meal. I ordered Chai Tea Latte and Apple Spice Bread ? I think.... . The Chai Latte was nice and hot but it could have more tea taste than milky but the fact that it was hot made-up for everything. I am planning to go back soon and taking my friend with. I can see myself coming here all the time

Iced latte taste very average. However the salted caramel tart was Delicious & base was crunchy.Ambiance could better - very vintage and friendly staff.
