I meet for coffee with a friend every few weeks ; of course we have our preferred cafes.Having decided to attend a museum exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art, we chose to meet this time at Cafe Veloce, located near the MAC in Montreal's Place Ville Marie.Upon arrival, we discovered its name had been changed to Cafe Crew. No problen : we went ahead nonetheless and each ordered an almond-paste croissant with a latte. The counter was well-laid out, and the service was adequate, no delays etc.However one bite into the croissant revealed a dry, worn-out and tasteless offering ; the latte was ordinary at best. I don't think we would have minded all that much - except the bill was just under $27 !For that kind of price one expects excellence ; what we were served wasn't even close - and for that price ? I will never go back.

Un peu dispendieux mais excellent. Le service de la jeune fille au comptoir est aussi excellent.

What’s up with charging $1.09 for almond milk and only referring to alternative milks as “options” on the signed th out a price like it’s included. Deceptive.

Their matcha has a hint of grapefruit which elevates the matcha drinking experience. It’s a good choice to add because it helps with the bitter aftertaste when drinking it. On top of that, it wasn’t too sweet at all!
