Flare Skate Blade Ltd.

Just ordered my second pair. My son being young of course grew into a new size skate and blade so we had to buy again. It did take him a practice or two to really get the feel of them but I won’t put him back on traditional steel. Definitely an increase in speed, confidence and balance battling for the puck and maneuvering.

Can't say enough good things about the flare blades. For years I sharpened skates and used laugh at people who had flare blades as I thought they werr just a gimmick, until I tried them. Now I won't skate on anything else. Better glide, better stability and better turns, girlfriend say I am skating like kids half my age. They have transformed my game! Only regret is that I hadn't pulled my head out of my a** and tried them earlier and now I have to buy $200 steel for the rest of my life cause I won't skate on anything else!

Started using the Flare Blades this season. I would recommend them to everyone that plays any level of hockey. I am more confident making hard turns with the blades, the edge holds. The glide is superior to a regular skate blade, I also noticed that they stay sharper longer.Try them, It will be your best equipment purchase!

I never dealed with the company like Flare Skate Blade. No phone number. No response on the emails. They send me a defective blades and their blades are not cheep. I send the blades back and now is 2 month passed and I did not receive my refund or received any correspondence from the company. I would not recommend this company to anyone. My son uses the flares for the past few seasons. Now upgrading to larger skates. My son ONLY wants Flare blades on his skates. He says he feels very confident on flares compared to the regular blades. I can see the skating difference between Flare and regular blades. Thank you Flare Skate Blade Ltd.

Switched to Flare skate blades after my final year of varsity university hockey and won't be switching back. The wider base gives you noticeably better glide as you don't need as deep of a hollow when sharpening. More importantly, the flare gives you added confidence to really attack your tight turns and prevents your edges from slipping at high speeds. Would recommend players give them a try as I feel they could help anyone, regardless of skill level.

There was an intense advantage that I felt immediately after stepping onto the ice. After one skate on these blades, you'll never go back to traditional. I didn't either. Do yourself a favour if you want to trust your edges completely and become a better skater.

I have been playing professional hockey for seven seasons and switched over to Flare Skate Blades 4 seasons ago and have noticed massive improvements. Mainly when taking a player wide at full speed I find my edges really dig in and I have much more control which gives me an advantage on my opponents. Also in one on one battles I feel much more stable on my skates and harder to knock off the puck. I will and can not ever go back to the original skate blade after trying these. They took me about two ice times to get comfortable with however I noticed a difference right away. The glide is much better than regular blades as well. These will help hockey players of all ages and all talent levels. Great product!

I absolutely love my flare blades. You simply feel more stable, stronger and confident in all your strides. The bite is incredible and the turns you can make feel ridiculously tight. You can push yourself harder with these and the game is just more fun. I don't think I'll ever go back to standard blades again.

With all the gimmick's out there from cream that you put on your blades to increase glide and different coatings on the blades. Trust me Flare is not one of those gimmick's. Our U14 son is using them and tells me that he will never go back to the conventional 3mm blade. Increased glide, increased turning and most importantly increased confidence. Just purchased our second set because he wants another pair ready to go in his bag incase he looses an edge or one breaks. Trust me on this! coming from a Level IV USAHockey coach, Level II USAHockey Official, College players and even a short stint in the United Hockey League. These are the most impressive adaptation in hockey since the development of the sticks we all use today. It's a no risk purchase. When you buy also purchase the hollow / edge checker as the conventional ones don't fit on these blades.
