The Buttermilk Cafe
I have enjoyed different breakfast options at Buttermilk Cafe and love the home-made food. Today, I had the classic breakfast but switched out homefries for french fries and gravy. Service is always efficient, and staff are engaging and friendly. Definitely recommend this for quality food.

This place is amazing!!! It was my first time here, even though the restaurant was busy, the food and the service was impeccable. Everyone was very friendly, the menu is big, and everything we had was really good. Highly recommend the blueberry pancakes here.

We were on our way to Kingston From Toronto, great place to stop at. Love the food, especially their Granny’s carrot cake. Also the Focaccia was one of the best I’ve had. great staff. There was a bit of waiting but you could give your number and go to the Marina and wait until they give you a call. Totally recommend it!

I loved my dining experience at this cute cafe! The food was delicious, offering a wide range of breakfast and lunch options with kids menu. The prices were very reasonable, giving great value for money. The staff provided super friendly and attentive service throughout, making my whole family feel welcome (they provided crayons and drawing papers to my kid). The cherry on top was the awesome patio, creating a perfect lunch spot for a memorable meal in Cobourg. Highly recommended!

It's what I would say is a local, slightly hidden, gem. The quality of the food here is amazing. The wait staff of kind and friendly. They really do their best to make you feel welcomed. There isn't anything I've tried on this menu that didn't taste amazing, or like the ingredients were subpar. It's not overstaded but underrated. I've spent a lot more and gotten a lot less. I'm definitely coming back.

My friend and I came from out of town to enjoy Cobourg beach, then decided on this cute cafe for dinner. The food exceeded our expectations (especially considering the very affordable prices). We both raved about the spaghetti sauce; shout out to their Italian chef!! We’ll definitely be coming back for more.

Great staff. The soup is to die for, especially with their homemade bun. Salmon was great, as well as their salad. Helped accommodate our gluten sensitivity. Mac & Cheese was a bit plain. Overall good experience!
