I wasn't sure what to expect: Grace Hospice has been beyond exceptional. The staff on the 6th floor were without exception genuinely caring and compassionate. The whole team was wonderful, but I particularly want to mention Rama, Casey, Cecilia and Dr Tedesco. The lovely terrace provided a welcome break from time spent in my sister's room. I can't think of a better place for her to have spent the last 6 days of her life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

i see a comment about the horrible food well its a hospital and thats not important to me. important is the way i felt as a patient and that is an easy answer as the word compassion does not exist as i nearly found that most people in this industry that are quality people do this very hard job for the love of helping people and i only seen that in two nurses and felt like cattle waiting to be branded. i have had many tough times in my life but on leaving this place i found it to be a building with no soul to be the saddest time in my life and highly do not believe this place is good for your mental health. its sad to me that this place exist. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD trouble with religion as most of these people do not show me human kindness that lights up a room but leave me feeling empty and most that work this hospital talk about being religious that has no compassion with words they speak,

I had a wonderful experience to spend 3-weeks on the 5th floor, recovering from complications from a fractured hip. All of the staff were very happy, content, positive and very hard-working. There was a sense of pride in everything that they did!. Dr. Rush was exceptional. He came by every day, including on the holiday weekend. The nurses were a tribute to their profession. Rorey, Stephanie and Marissa provided excellent physiotherapy and encouragement. The hospital food was amazing. We could choose from a menu for the next day. When the food arrived, it was always cooked to perfection"! The Grace hospital is the model of exactly what a hospital should be!"

I have nothing but praise and gratitude for The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre. This small and unassuming building from the outside, is a powerhouse of the most kind, caring and compassionate doctors and other medical and non-medical staff. Toronto Grace is one of Toronto’s most treasured gems!

Given the state of our health care system and the Ontario governments war on nurses and healthcare staff, I was very fortunate to land at The Grace Hospital after a serious accident. I cannot say enough about the treatment I was afforded, kind and professional nurses, kitchen and housekeeping staff. They all contributed to my healing and I will never forget them!SUPPORT OUR NURSES!!! SUPPORT THE GRACE!!!

my mum had an excellent experience here. she had lost mobility from spinal fracture and wrist fracture, but she never had any problem getting the help she needed. the nurses, dietitian, and management staff are very accommodating, and goes extra miles to help. the onsite doctor is also great. two thumbs up!

My mother has been at Toronto Grace Hospital for the past 10 weeks. She was referred for rehab after she fractured her arm. She is suppose to be getting physio for 30 minutes a day (5 days a week), but sometimes she gets less than that. As a result, her progress has been very slow. She is getting very discouraged and now my mother today spends almost every day crying. I am very concerned for her mental well being as I feel that this hospital does NOT have her best interests in mind in terms of getting her to walk again. She was walking 2 1/2 months ago with her walker before her fall. I have asked for more physio but I am getting a lot of push back even from the floor manager. The physiotherapist will say that Mom isn't remembering all the steps for transferring. If she got more physio, then maybe she would remember the steps. These are just excuses not to do the right thing as far as getting my Mom to walk again. I feel like my Mom is not in rehab but rather in a hospital setting where she spends the majority of her day either in bed or sitting in a wheelchair. The doctor and physiotherapist seem to be the driving force behind these decisions to NOT increase my mother's physio. About a month ago, they thought they were going to send my Mom back to her retirement residence in a wheelchair because they saw no improvement. My Mom should have been back on her feet by now. Some of the nurses don't even know how to transfer her safely from the wheelchair to the bed and visa versa. I am VERY concerned for my Mom's safety. At this point, I feel like getting her out of there. Being there for the past 10 weeks, has been a total waist of time. Is this what Toronto Grace calls rehab and good patient care?? I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone and totally agree with other reviews. Could someone please help us at Toronto Grace and get us increased physio asap.

My father died on the palliative care floor shortly ago. What an incredibly caring and tuned-in group of people. The environment is one of calm competence and the staff care for the whole family unit. Although we were not there long, thankfully for dad, the staff helped facilitate a peaceful and pain free death for our dear dad. Special shout-out to Barry who is an angel in disguise, Allison who tended mom's injured finger, and Danielle who was so human with us at the end. Thank you for all for being you.
