Safe Harbour Therapy

Met with Andrea Klepatz for a number of months to eventually try EMDR. Unfortunately it seems she was not able to fine tune her scheduling, repeated appointments she made but did not put in her schedule/ completely forgot about, showed up to appointments late and did not see me for the full paid for session. She lacked note taking and often repeated herself and forgot about details I had told her about. Unfortunately it was overall disappointing experience and I will be seeking out a new practitioner.

My partner and I saw Carmen Okhmatovski at Safe Harbour for couples counselling for a few months. She was empathetic and understanding and asked insightful questions to help us better understand ourselves and each other. She gave us tools for better communication and some things to work on in our own time to connect more deeply. Carmen works from an attachment based perspective which I liked and can relate to. While our relationship ultimately ended, I am very grateful to Carmen for her help as we navigated some tough struggles.Something to be aware of though, is marriage and family therapy therapists are often not covered by private insurance companies, due to their certifications not being accepted.
