my boyfriend and i love this place! they have a really cheap lunch special which is very tasty, and sometimes a lunch buffet which is just as delicious and great value for a buffet. the staff are nice and the place is clean! i highly recommend this place to anyone in/around/passing through cochrane!

Absolutely delicious, best curry I've had in years. The decor is beautiful, the staff is kind, and the prices are very fair for what you're getting. I was stuffed before I could finish but I didn't want to stop eating. I tried the butter chicken and it was delightful but I'll definitely be coming back to try some of their other offerings.

Delicious Indian food in Cochrane. I think this is the best Indian restaurant in Cochrane. The naan taste, crunchy, softness is perfect.Their Kashmiri pulao is very unique and something g that you can’t find anywhere else.

i got takeout for lunch thinking it would just be another regular meal, but i was blown away by the taste! saffron rice and naan was soo soft and fluffy, i didn't want to put it down! it came fast and hot, really hoping to eat here more often! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First impressions not great.Our servers were not friendly and not helpful at all.We were given dirty cutlery and dishes to start. The appetizers were OK but also came out in a dirty plate.The food overall was very bland and I’d give them only one star for that. I asked for saffron rice and I got orange rice.I’m middle eastern and I know what saffron rice looks and tastes like and what I got was not saffron rice…. It was orange rice probably using food colouring. I also know what rice cooked with tomato paste looks and taste like and that wasn’t that either.My other half asked for coconut rice and what he got was the same orange rice mixed with white rice and they had used sweetened shredded coconut on top of the rice. It just did not taste right what so ever.I’m sorry but this is not even worth one star and the prices I f what came out was absolutely not worth it. McDonalds would have been better in my opinion.You just can’t beat “Gate of India”. Now that’s an absolutely amazing Indian restaurant. The food speaks for itself not to mention the owners and all their staff are just amazing.If we were close to Calgary we definitely would have gone to Gate of India instead but unfortunately for us we happened to be in Cochran and we were told this was the best and I’m sorry to say that it definitely is not and it’s very disappointing.My advice please serve with clean plates and don’t falls adverse that you have saffron rice when it’s bit saffron that you serve.Also if you will use curtains in a restaurant I’d make an effort if actually washing them or keeping them clean.Regards

So this was my first experience eating Indian food . The place was okay. My children danced to their music. The food is filling . The samosas were okay but not what I expected. I went for spicy meal and it was really spicy

First time going tonight, and I'm so wishing I went sooner. Wow!! Food was so tasty. Definitely a new favourite spot for our family.

This is my second visit to Mehtab. Great service and awesome food. Had butter chicken on first visit and it was the best I had in years. Giving 4 star only because the chicken was on the tougher side on my second visit. However I would still recommend this place to anyone who is interested to enjoy authentic Indian food.Third & Fourth visit update: Food was not so great. It seems to be lacking in flavour compared to my first visit and quality is slowly coming down. Three star!

You can tell they put far more effort into their food than most other indian restaurants. The appetizers have lots of flavour and the samosas are filled with more than just bland potato. The sauces are delicious and the curries are rich and deeply satisfying.Favourites are the okra and korma curries.We will be back again soon!
