The Elgin Medical Clinic

I know it’s been a tough few years for those in the medical field, but the receptionists here are awful, some of the rudest encounters I had with anyone in my life. I am a computer technician and I show more compassion for people with printer problems than the receptionists do with sick people in need of help!Dr. Enafaty however is wonderful person and very professional. It’s a shame we have to go through such receptionists to get to him.

I have been visiting my family doctor at Elgin medical clinic for around 3 years. I have noticed many mistakes from the office staff, but I thought that was because of the Covid-19 situation. I haven't seen a secretarial staff with this level of incompetence and misbehaving in (normal and critical situations) in my life! My medication stopped suddenly because all the appointments were fully booked and I couldn't speak to my family doctor on phone! I did not find any kind of assistance from the office staff, even after days of contacting and sending emails! I explained the situation of the bad side effects of stopping my meds suddenly. I asked for sending a note to my doctor but no avail! I would like to ask who is in charge of this office to take my review seriously and make sure that all rules are based on humanity and proficiency at the same time! This affects the good reputation of the doctors that we trust at Elgin medical clinic.

Dr Hasham and all the staff are extremely good people and friendly! Going there since I remember! Long time!I love the fact nice people like them still around and helping people all year around!

Doctors are great, have been seeing them for years. Reception though is a whole other nightmare of a story. I know for a fact that when I call there are 0-2 people in that waiting room, yet I'm on hold anywhere from 18-30 minutes! What is so difficult for you to answer the phone! You are a doctor's office that obviously needs a whole staffing overhaul. You guys would make great librarians as you are good at not talking.

Terrible clinic and experiences. The front staff is miserable and unkind regardless of how nice you are. Patients should be able to ask questions without getting rude and snarky responses. Doctor barely sees me in person and surely misses checks and balances to patients when he asks no questions or requests no blood work for prescription renewals.. then does not fax the prescription renewal to the pharmacy. I dread having to call this clinic and there should be someone to hold them accountable to their terrible service of human rights here in Canada.

Can't give less than 1 star. The front staff are the RUDEST, MOST INCONSIDERATE, LAZY PEOPLE who I have ever come across. Office needs a serious overhaul of their front line people. From being hung up on when I wasn't finished talking to the latest today. Prescription sent to wrong pharmacy after explicit details of where I wanted it to go. Followed up with office and they were going to refax it. Next day I check with pharmacy I asked for it to be originally sent to and they still haven't received anything (now 24 hours later). I call the office again was on hold for 15 min and 15 seconds before someone answered and I made mention of the time on hold. I got, I just came up front, I don't know what they are doing up here, I'm told. No office is that busy. I explain again what happened and how the pharmacy still hasn't received the prescriptions. I'm told they were faxed. Where? They say the pharmacy and again I explain they haven't received anything. I ask to come and pick up the prescription. I go to office and say why I'm there (no one at front desk ever looks at you) and she goes to get the prescription. She comes back with 2 pages of prescriptions ~ 2 of which I don't take anymore. How can a medical office do this? Frustrated is putting it mildly. Elgin Medical Clinic really needs to start putting all their patients first and start treating them professionally, with respect and make sure what you hand out is correct.

Wow... What a terrible clinic. I came to drop off my wife's test device they loaned and the elderly white receptionist was so rude. No hello, just a blank stare with a dead grin(no mask).I told her I was dropping off and what it was to the best of my knowledge. She asked what it was, and handed me a mask. I explained I wasn't sure , put the mask on, said it was for my girlfriend by her name and then she took it, said bye and that it's...Just not a very welcome place. I'd never go here. At least not if she worked here.

I looking for some family doctor but before accepting it I wanna try it before . That's why I call to this clinic and ask to make appointment like new customer. The lady on resorption tell me that I must go to their web site then make registration put my name on waiting list. I said ok if I do it how long I must waiting for response like 1-2-5 days she tell me brilliant answer - I don't have no idea ". Than my question if I need doctor now wanna visit see it face to face realized if I like this person or not I must stay in list for unnoun time and after that find out who are this people and what they can do. Like for me it's totally not good kind of service for people and probably their future customers."

We moved to Poco in 2018 and would like to have a family doctor within the community. We have a family doctor in Surrey and retiring soon so I contacted and asked Fraser Northwest Division of Family Practice around early April 2022 to put me on a waitlist for a family doctor in Poco. They are aware of my situation and was happy to put me on a waitlist as long as I am willing to wait. November 2022, Fraser Northwest Division of Family Practice contacted me and informed me that Dr. Enafaty will take our family as new patients. They asked me to let the clinic know that I am calling to request an intake form/questionnaire for attachment to Dr.Enafaty. It was also noted on the email that Dr. Enafaty is only accepting patients off of the waiting list, so I need mention I was referred by Jordana at the Fraser Northwest Division. I called the medical office and asked for an appointment and informed/explained them. I guess I was not clear or the receptionist had a hard time understanding me - but she said that Dr. Enafaty is not taking any new patients and she can put me to another doctor (i forgot which one). The receptionist was not very friendly and her voice was so stern, I don’t feel welcome. Anyway, as I was booking an appointment - she asked me some questions and I mentioned that I have a family doctor in Surrey. That’s when she told me that the clinic will not take us since we have a family doctor already - I wanted to explain her the situation but she cut me off and was firm that they will not take us regardless the reasons and I should contact Jordana from Family Practice to tell my concern and just cut me off. She said ‘bye, cannot help you’ then hanged up the phone. She also told me that I should drive to Surrey and its not too far to see my family doctor. Anyway, I did not bother as I would gladly not go to this clinic if they have this kind of receptionist. No compassion! Was rude and sounded very mean. I contacted the Family Practice again to put me on a waitlist but not on this clinic.

My doctor there is AWESOME, however I just sat on hold for 40 mins to ask a question of the front staff. I give the doctor 5 Stars but the front staff are 2 at best
