Dan is a master craftsman. The quality of this guitar is unreal. I love the way he rolls and finishes off the fretboard edges with wood shaving taken from the neck wood itself. I just received my guitar and I cannot put it down.I had a special request for the guitar to have a very narrow neck because I have short stubby fingers/hands and found it difficult to reach the low E string comfortably to mute it. Dan made it happen and now I feel so much more relaxed when playing. All while I asked him to make this guitar in 24.75 inch scale to help me reach better due to a lesser range of motion from a past injury.Dan and I emailed back and forth MANY MANY times in an attempt to get it right. He is such a patient guy. It's not easy when you and the client are across the world from each other. But he made the process very simple.I was able to tell him which hardware I wanted etc. and he suggested solutions for parts that I did not know how to decide on.The guitar was packed SUPER snug and safe during shipping. The wait was well worth it. To get an instrument that is made for you and you feel so comfortable playing, with literally the best quality craftsmanship (beats mainstream brands by miles)... it's just something else.If I ever think of another guitar, Dan is definitely the guy I will be going to. Dan you didn't just build a beautiful guitar. You helped someone have an easier time accessing an instrument. Thank you mate.

I have 1972 Les Paul Deluxe that for several years now needed a “once over”, including a fret job and refinish, however I was hesitant to hand it over to just anybody. Enter Dan MacPherson: I had heard about Dan through the local music community; did some research; made a visit to his facility and discussed our options – needless to say I decided to leave it in his hands. I can’t say enough how well the project turned out: the finish is of a higher quality than factory, and the playability has improved significantly. After this experience, I’m spoiled: I’ll definitely have to bring in my Tele for a setup, as well as seriously take a look at Dan’s lineup of guitars. We are fortunate to have a top-shelf luthier the likes of Dan MacPherson operating in the Okanagan Valley.

Amazing service. Honest and reliable. I needed a 1954 banjo serviced. It was in new condition: the original owner bought himself and inly played twice back in the 50's. I took it to another guitar place and they quoted $395 to tune it up I was shocked.that he even wanted to sand it down and re-varnish it when it was in perfect conditionI took it to MacPherson Guitar and he tuned it up and serviced to perfect playing condition...to a total of $90 including a set of strings.He was amazing!!!! Also read over the quote i got from the other guy and told me that if he had done what he planned that he would have ruined the vintage quality and destroyed the value of the banjo.Honest, incredible service.

I have nothing but great things to say about MacPherson Guitars. I first met Dan after a very unfortunate incident while rebuilding my Fender Strat. I took it to Dan to see if he could resurrect it and it came back better than I ever could have imagined! I was so impressed with the quality of his work that I canceled an order that I had put in for a Gibson Les Paul and had him build me one of his custom Nomad guitars. The finished product of the Nomad is second to none as he has paid so much attention to every single detail. It looks amazing, it plays amazingly well and feels so comfortable in my hands. If you are looking for a high-end guitar, I would certainly recommend Dan MacPherson Guitars, as I know you will end up with an incredible finished product!
