Alberto and his team from SweetHome Spaces completed an extensive basement renovation at McCarron Crescent in April 2016, for myself. The project entailed all the steps required to get the basement approved as a legal second unit including drawings, building permits as well as all required city inspections. This was a great help as I had no experience with these processes. I am very satisfied with the work done and any follow up calls since then were done promptly and efficiently without any costs.The above project was the second time we used SweetHome Spaces and Alberto and his team . At short notice , they also completed a basement alteration for us to our satisfaction at a location on Tradewind Drive in December 2015.At all times, Alberto has been very polite , helpful and sensitive in all dealings with us and prepared to go the extra mile when needed.

Stay away from this guy. Shoddy workmanship.This guy WILL scam you. BUYER BEWARE !!! Update, after reading my review owner “ Alberto “ requested a follow up appointment to try and correct the issues with my kitchen floor, creeking floors, grout cracking etc. Alberto arrived and removed one tile and suggested that was the issue saying “ let’s see if that tile was the cause of the rest of the creeking and grout cracking ! I didn’t buy into his theory and told him so. At this point he offered to redo the entire floor. I opted to get a second opinion from a different flooring contractor who upon inspection informed me the work done by Alberto was not done correctly ( portion of the subfloor that was replaced, was not fastened down with enough screws) which in turn led to expansion and contraction of subfloor causing creeking and grout cracking.I would also like to add that Alberto’s employee did not add the grout additive I supplied to use instead of water. The reasoning behind substituting this additive for water was to seal the grout against stains. When the second floooring contractor came in to FIX Alberto’s mistakes he used the grout additive which is now a different colour than the grout done by Alberto’s installer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY !!!!!.............. HE WILL RIP YOU OFF.

This was a very nice business where they were really attentive to my call and they provided me with a very useful information.

I am super pleased with Alberto and his crew. The renovation of my condo took place during covid. As a result there were numerous delays, back orders etc but Alberto worked around them without complaint. He consulted with me at all times and was very hands on supervising the job. He performed many duties above and beyond the normal scope of a contractor and made certain that every small detai was addressed.The crew were pleasant to have around and they were amazing skilled workers. They worked around my personal situation at all times.I do not hesitate in recommending Sweet Home Spaces to anyone who wants a small or large job done expertly and professionally.

This guy Alberto was great! I started a project that went south and I needed someone who knew what they were doing to save me. I had rendered my toilet inoperable, the floor was rotting through and now I was unable to fix it on my own. I know it's a small thing, but I initially tried to do it myself because my finances at the time did not afford me to hire the job out. Now I was going to be forced to hire it out anyway.In the end Sweethome Spaces was referred to me by a friend and even though it was a small thing, Alberto came by to my home to see what the issue was. He knew I was in a mess and his compassion was so refreshing.In the end he helped me finish the job. At one point he was forced to leave and attend to another appointment and came back after 9 pm to finish the job himself. He saw immediately what the issue was, which I was blinded to, and ended up finishing the job late in the night. He charged me cost on the supplies and knowing the situation minimal on the labour.Smart guy. He certainly didn't make a fortune off of my tiny job but in the end he has made a customer for life.
