Calgary Animal Services has the rudest staff I have ever encountered. Nicole should be fired for the way she talks to people. Tara is also very unprofessional. Such a shame the animals are in the hands of these types. Just horrible.

I usually don’t write many reviews but felt compelled to give credit where it’s due! My babygirl Narnia escaped from the yard and was found fairly quickly in our community. She ended up being up being dropped off to veterinary hospital before being taken to animal services. I had an excruciatingly terrible experience with the vet hospital. On the other hand the bylaw officers working with animal services and their front end staff were very kind and helpful. They got my princess back to me healthy and happy! In particular, Officer Snow was very kind. He took the time to send pictures of Narnia and keep me updated every step of the way! It was great to feel reassured and definitely helped me through the stress of her being lost!

Recently adopted a dog , who came through CAS and transferred to humane society as an adoptable dog. Great call he is great and when I went to get his 6months free license, staff was helpful and friendly.

Yesterday, Stella, my 15 month old mini Australian labradoodle, escaped from her daycare. My sitter was frantic. She posted on Facebook and some infor came in.Luckily, she was scooped up by some caring person and brought to the Calgary Animal Services Center. They contacted me and relieved my sitter and myself.I went and picked her up. Everyone was so friendly. Hailey, the Bylaw Officer, was exceptionally helpful and friendly.Stella was scared but well taken care of during her stay. She got a 'free ride' as I kept up my dog license. They get a free ride once a year. Very cool. So other than a scolding, Stella was good. However, this morning when she went to daycare, she had her tail between her legs. And rightly so. LOLThanks for all you do keeping our animals safe.

Very poor customer service experience. I spoke with a customer service representative named Nicole. She was SO rude answering basic, general questions that I will avoid Calgary Animal Services in the future.

Extremely helpful staff. I was able to adopt a new kitty no hassle, and she is the cutest thing.

I myself have been an animal control officer for the better part of a decade. I am genuinely surprised at how poorly Calgary animal control services this city. I can appreciate that they do not have the resources in order to catch feral cats themselves however, when a member of the public goes through the trouble of trapping and transporting a potentially injured or pregnant feral cat I expect that the city will at least take it in. When I arrived, I was told by the receptionist if a cat is pregnant they do not have the resources to keep it. What are our tax dollars paying for? What are our license fees paying for? It is the city’s job to take in stray animals, regardless of their Condition. They attempted to tell me they couldn’t keep her, sorry what’s your job then? You are legally responsible for stray animals. After me firmly stating I will not be transporting the animal any where else on their behalf considering I had already taken the cat to a VCA clinic who also refused her because she was in a trap not a cat carrier they finally agreed to take her in. What a joke, of a disservice they provide to this city.

The reason I am giving a 3 star review is my roommate is missing her Dog and I am unable to submit a form and recieve a file number to follow up if anyone has found her Dog . The website takes me to the city of Calgary but does not provide me with the option to file a lost dog or cat report

I was there for 25 mins looking to take in a pet. After a very frustrating 25 mins I left after no one asked to assist me with anything. I guess they are in no rush to adopt out pets at that location. Very disappointed and I will support another company now. It gets 2 stars because from what I could see at least the pets all looked well cared for.

I made an appointment to see a few cats & Christina helped me. I have adopted cats from here in the past & have been satisfied & pleased with my choices. I got a beautiful male cat after 2 months of searching. They took very good care of me even though they don't usually do adoptions.
