beautiful museum but hard to enjoy with the neurotic front desk woman breathing down your neck. she profiled and followed us through the entire museum making a harsh statement at the beginning about our clothes and an old camera my friend brought (didnt end up taking any pictures anyway) just because we were a bit dressed up (clothes we normally wear!!), it was was very stressful and put us all on edge. not a good vibe for enjoying whimsical art. she absolutely went out of her way to be rude to us. beware

I am so pleased that we had the opportunity to visit Château Dufresne. It's located across the street from the Parc Olympique and Le Stade of '76 (I think). The tour of the Chateau was fabulous. We greatly appreciated the iPad which was given to us prior to beginning the tour. The iPad provided an audio and visual guide and embellished our experience. If you are interested in architecture, art, history and opulence of a bygone era, visiting the Château Dufresne is a must! It is absolutely beautiful!

Gorgeous mansionInteresting history about Dufresne family and their beautiful house. Each and every corner of the house are beautifully designed. There are paintings on the ceiling and on glass doors.Even radiators are so beautiful.Free parking in front of the entrance. You will get an electronic tab to guide you through the building. It has an audio description about each room (you can select English or French)Staff is really friendly. For anyone who like history and beautiful mansions this would be an ideal visit.

Our visit on Wednesday was quiet, so it was a nice break from all of the school groups we encountered at the Biodome. A tablet is provided to give a tour of the building, with information about the family and rooms. It was easy to use and informative. Interesting to see how the other half (1% ?) lived... Beautifully restored, just wish there were more rooms restored and open to the public!

Loved this museum a lot! It may be a little small but it has tons of information on the family, history of the building and art/architectural design to keep you learning and entertained for quite some time. I emptied the battery on the ipad device and had to get a new one because I really took my time with all of the content throughout the château. Service was very helpful and pleasant at the front desk, all in all a great experience!

Gorgeous interior with several decorated rooms with a few empty rooms as well. Not much going on when you first start but once you go up the stairs to the main floor it becomes very interesting. There's only really the main floor to enjoy as the second floor is closed off and as it was explained to me, the second floor is just some old empty office spaces with nothing much to look at. Once you finish going through every room of the main floor you head to the other side of the basement where things come to a close with a history of the building. At the end of the day you can take some nice pics of the beautiful artwork, maybe get inspired. I wouldn't say it's a place you'd ever need to go back to but a nice experience.

This place is way smaller than it seems but way overpriced. There’s also literally nothing on the top floor, just 2 rooms and one of them is empty. The miss inside follows every room you visit and just stands there like she’s judging your every move making your tour very uncomfortable. Definitely not worth the price you pay.

Beautiful home that must have been something to be able to live in!The incredible detail in the wood ceilings, velvet wall coverings, wood moldings, doors, etc. are absolutely gorgeous. If you appreciate beautiful architecture and lavish bourgeois style, I think you'll enjoy this château. The employees are also around as you tour to answer any questions you may have, but you're also supplied with an interactive touch-screen tablet with audio clips to guide you through as you make your way through the rooms on both sides of the château.Worth the visit!
