Literally one of the best food places in the city. If you don't try La Morena, even once, you're missing out. I PROMISE!The queso empanada with red salsa will change your life.

A small takeout spot with a handful of dine-in seats. This spot serves great Ecuadorian food, as told by my wife who spent her childhood in Ecuador.They also have an Argentinean empanada and Columbian empanada.The food was very tasty and fresh. Highly recommend if you're looking for good ceviche, empanadas or honestly anything on their menu.

I tried a few different empanada places always in search of one I liked. Up until now I've always disliked them. These were the best i've ever had. The place is a quaint little shop which is family owned and operated. The owners are very friendly and make great food. The hot sauce is also the right mix of heat and flavour. I personally prefer the yellow hot-sauce over the red, but they're both up to par. The red can go on virtually anything. You can also grab an entire box of empanadas to take home cooked or uncooked, similar to a Jamaican patty place, which is a great option. Discovered that they serve main dishes before 6pm as well, looking forward to trying some one afternoon.

Lovely little cafe with different regional empanadas. They walked us through all of the different empanadas and also helped us with a food sensitivity. Enjoyed all of the empanadas with the green hot sauce.

AH-MAZING. Seriously. The ceviche was so fresh and plantain chip went perfect with the ceviche. I sprinkled a bit of the crunchy corn on the ceviche and was surprised that the corn gave the ceviche an added texture. The tamale was perfect and the soup was delicious. We also ordered an empanada and our little one loved eating it. I am definitely going to return because the menu had lots to choose from and I want to try their pupusas and the humitas. The place was very clean and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. They do take out as well but it's really nice to be able to sit down and enjoy the food. Our little one made a mess but everyone there was so understanding. Thank you!

Ecuadorian Approved! haha I tried the soup and empanadas. Taste is authentic. Reminds me of Ecuador and my mom. I’ll be back. There is limited seating keep that in mind!

I wanted to try this place for a while but the hours weren't matching with my schedule. Finally today I got a chance to try it. And it's way beyond my expectations. First of all I love how welcoming they are. I tried their oven baked beef empanada with the drink called chicha morada. Both were so delicious. I usually find drinks sweeter for my taste but I loved it. I'll definitely try every single items in their menu. Glad to have them in the neighbourhood!

This is the sweetest little South American café! Great coffee & the tamale I had was delicious. It has a very popular takeout menu of sandwiches, tacos, tamales, soups and deserts but there is room for a half dozen customers to eat in. Service is incredibly friendly & helpfulm
