I went and bought two mystery snails because they carried ivory and chestnut, I had never seen those in a store before. The chestnut one was suctioned to the cup as I left the store, the ivory one was closed all the way in his shell. When I got home I discovered the ivory one had been passed away for quite a while, his trap door fell off on the way home. The ammonia produced by the dead ivory was enough to kill the chestnut one too. I took them back the next day when the wetaskiwin pet centre was open again, and they refused to refund me my money. I asked for an exchange, they said they would give me only ONE in exchange for the TWO dead ones. But the rest of the mystery snails in their tank were dead too. We scooped one out and I sniffed him, he had such a rancid smell I knew he was dead, and I told the lady. She went ahead and put him BACK IN THE TANK after I confirmed he was dead. She wouldve tried to sell it to someone who didnt know. Never buying another snail or even fish from this place ever again! This is absolute B.S. since they say they have a fish expert" that comes in once a week."

Adopted the BEST kitty from them and had a great experience. Easy going, motivated to find the cats have me, and bonus..they have the cutest cats. When you adopt, you get a discount in the store which is nice as well.

The staff is so helpful and very knowledgeable. I definitely will be going there from now on. Prices are reasonable.

I asked the cashier to buy one guppy fish and supplies for a 3 gallon bowl I had. Right away she started acting like the aquarium police. WOW! what a domineering personality this woman has. She proceeded to tell me I could'nt buy the fish and she was going to get some guy to deal with me, I geuss a manager? He never did say anything to me so I guess he didn't agree with her?Not that it was any of her business but for the sake of making my purchase and getting away from her ASAP I explained to her that I had done my research and a 3 gallon bowl is fine for one fish. Not to mention their would be excellent filtration with living plants added to the water and frequent water changes. She slowly realized I was not someone who would bow to her delusional and self-appointed authority.By the end of our short and unpleasant exchange she ADMITTED that I could actually have TWO guppies in the bowl instead of the one that I wanted because you only need one gallon of water per inch of fish" LOL.I could totally understand her being hesitant to sell me a fish if I was looking to put it in a tiny little flower vase but that was clearly NOT the case as I made that known at the beginning and had to repeat that fact to her MULTIPLE times. This woman clearly has serious control freak issues and wants to decide who gets to buy what and when.Bottom line she has no right to treat customers this way. She should not be working with the public as she clearly has no manners and doesn't seem to know what she's doing."
