The Bayview Motel

After a little problem getting my keys but that was resolved by contacting the attendant by phone. Another problem was the toilet which plugged up. I tried to find a plunger in town but, of course, the stores were closed.Lorraine, who, left her card, did a great job of making sure my room was cleaned perfectly. The bed was wonderful! Hope to stay with you again.

I have been staying at the Bayview for over 30yrs.For both personal and professional. I found a very different place on my last stay.With a very difficult new system in place.I contacted the 1st of the owners with my concerns. I was surprised to be verbally abused by this person. Who told me has 150 employees and has no time for me and his new system was perfect. It's an unfortunate experience when the owner/business is to big for its customers. A very solid Strike one!Upon checking out the 2nd owner also rude.Could not take my credit card because his person who runs the perfect system broke their arm.Ok all the best to that person.Payment was finally make and I left for the last time.Strike One!

We stayed overnight to break up our trip from houston to our house out by sioux look out. Was pleasantly surprised . Awesome view and close to walk along lake shore. Rooms were quaint and very clean. We checked in late and they had a room key dispenser that worked perfectly. They sent a detailed email with instructions which was convenient and easy. I guess if you cant read or follow simple instructions it may be a challenge as i saw from the few low reviews, but probably even better they can stay elsewhere. Think we might make a practice of staying here, this is a great stress unwinder on our trips up.

Clean, comfortable beds, and a view. Excellent choice for a quiet night of rest.

Motel was clean and very comfortable, checking in was a very self run experience. Seem to still be working with covid restrictions. (But it works so why change it I suppose.) Pretty standard riverside motel, nothing super fancy. In close quarters with the bait shop and very good restaurant!

Was such a cute and cozy location right off the lake. I’d recommend staying here if you’re in the area, check-in and out was also easy and staff was friendly and helpful!

Our motel room was perfect and everything we needed for our quick stay in Fort Frances! The location was lovely, the room was super clean and the recent renovations were beautiful. I love how they make it super easy to be a guest by explaining the check-in and check-out process very clearly and they have notes around the room with answers to common questions. It was honestly the perfect little motel and I would absolutely stay there again!

Stayed three nights while visiting family in the area and loved the location and view of the waterfront from the room. The hotel is older but the renovations have updated the rooms nicely. The check in process was seamless and trouble-free (texted a code to get room key from an automatic dispenser). It's a quick walk to an excellent restaurant. The bathroom is small but it's an older footprint and the room and bathroom are very clean, which is all you need! My only reason for not giving a 5 star rating was the small dining table/chairs--could have used a bit larger table and the room seems like it could handle a larger workspace for a quick in-room breakfast for two people!

The location is nice in front of the pier... no front desk attendant which is a lil annoying specially when you never been... the nice rooms they show on the website are not the ones you stay in unless its their suites and im sure you'll pay wayyy more for them... dead bugs smooched everywhere (should've been cleaned) took 20min to get the tv going(poor instructions... if we can help it...we wont be back .

My group and I repeat customers of the great folks at the Bayview in Fort Francis, Ontario.These folks have a business ethic that makes most chain hotels pale in comparison.I love the idea of supporting private businesses instead of some faceless, unresponsive national chain and these folks make those Inclinations so easy to follow.Great prices, responsive and responsible staff that allow us to get through the border crossing without the mile-long line during the daytime.
