We had an issue with slower-than-hoped-for servicing for our heat pump system, installed by 21 Degrees. Doug, the Owner really stepped up. He contacted me and explained they had to deal with many emergency calls. He then had my concern addressed the next day. The service Tech, John came by this morning - a super guy - and he did the necessary work. We are delighted! Thanks!

Had 21 degrees come fix my fire place as the pilot would come on but would not respond to the gas valve opening to fully see flame. This joker came in cleaned the glass, was on the phone for most of the time, than proceeded to tell my wife it was the gas combination valve that needed replacing and they don’t sell Vermont valves anymore (my fireplace model). He also went on the blast every other gas company in town on how unprofessional they are.Especially Comox fireplace. Than quoted us $5,000 for a new fireplace. Long story even longer I ended up finding a valve from Vermont casting that cost $464 from the US. Had it shipped here and decided to call DES THE GAS MAN. He came to the house and laughed, told me it was a thermocouple and was in and out within a half hour. IF YOU NEED MAINTENANCE DONE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Pure lack of knowledge and very unprofessional.

My wife and I had a Daikin mini split heat pump installed in August by 21 Degrees Mechanical Ltd. and couldn't be happier. The staff were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The installation was on time with a great crew that worked well together. They were exceptionally clean and very thorough. As for the product, the outdoor unit/heat pump is incredibly quiet as are the wall mount units in both bedrooms. Our decision to have a ceiling cassette installed in our living/dining area was a great idea suggested by Sales Representative Angela Warder. Not only is it very quiet but we found it also heats and cools the kitchen and family rooms which is a bonus. We've had family, friends and neighbours comment 'if it was actually on' when visiting. We highly recommend 21 Degrees Mechanical for estimates and installations and this particular Daikin mini split system.Regards,Dan & Diane HopeComox, B.C.

Doug was very thorough and prompt with quoting on my projects for installing a ductless mini-split 2-head system and a Marathon hot water tank. As I did not want a large heating/AC unit above my bed, he recommended an under window unit which is unobtrusive. The installation crew arrived on time, worked while I was away at work and left my home locked and the site was totally cleaned.Courtenay in the office handled my financing application smoothly and even looked after registering my new heat pump system for the warranty. All around top service, friendly and customer satisfaction focused.Thank you!

2 mini splits with 3 heads: Start with the supposedly simple things. The Greener Homes Grand program was made to sound soooo simple by 21 Degrees. They worked with Energy Werx, who did all the house evaluation and were supposed to submit the required documentation etc. Well it took over 6 months to get that sorted out after" the instal

We highly recommend 21 Degrees. They recently installed a Daikin Heat Pump System for us. Angela first visited our house and brought to our attention the opportunity to install this type of system. She was very knowledgeable, professional, answered our questions and visited our house on numerous occasions during installation. We were really pleased with her attention to detail. The installation team was lead by Jared. The team was professional, friendly and respectful of our home and answered any questions we had.

Where to start!? My neighbour gave me a referral for 21Deg, I gave a call and had Bob (or can we call him Bobo for the purpose of this review) coming to my house to evaluate our needs. We had a Central electric furnace and were looking to get the most efficient heat pump for our climate on the North Island. As we were doing renovations in the backyard I ask many times what does they need in order to get all the lines and electricity in place and under the concrete pad that will eventually be there. No answers except for the electrical.Day of the installation, I realized that they needed to run the line and drill holes in the house and outside. Long story short after talking to the technicians, the owner of the company Doug, My wife called me to let me know that they are packing their stuff and they are leaving!?They told me that if I'm unhappy I should go somewhere else and they will move on. I should have listen and call elsewhere. Storie dosent stop here!Installation is done and complete, Heat pump are running fine, until late November when I place a call to their office letting them know that the auxiliary heat is always On. We will send a technician she said.Later the technician came and explain that this heat pump will be perfect for Spring and fall but will not be able to produce heat on his own below 3-5 degrees Celcius.Call again the office, We switch to a heat pump to avoid the auxiliary heat which is a coil plug on electricity, same technology as the furnace that we had, and that we explains our need and where we live. After many calls to Doug, He told me that he will do an investigation that they are not trying to pull a fast one on me.NO FOLLOW UP on that email, Severals months later I tried again and received a what can I do for you!.Please do yourself a favour and call elsewhere.

My 2 year old gas furnace shut down and I called the company who installed it and they said they could not come for 3.5 days. I felt that was not adequate service considering the temperature at night was down to 0 C. I called 21 Degrees and was given a time for 9:30 am the next day. Now that was much more appropriate. John arrived early and serviced the furnace and found the issue. He also gave me some other tips on home servicing and I really appreciated it. In future I will be calling 21 for my HVAC serving and repair. I do highly recommend them.
