Milly Oak Cafe and Catering
We were pleasantly surprised! The portions are great for the price and everything tasted amazing. They were really busy and it was our server's first day but she did amazing. The chicken on my salad was a bit cold, but I am not sure if that was intentional or not. The scone was also a sweet scone with cheese on top which was a surprisingly delicious combo. Great little restaurant.

Went to the Milly Oak this morning for breakfast. Had the eggs Benedict. Very good. Instead of using the usual English muffin they make their own biscuits. Yummy. Will gladly go back. My other half had their coffee and said it was very good. Apparently they grind their own beans.

Dined here before and was very good, but this time not so. Had classic breakfast, eggs over easy were cooked in a weird tasting oil, shredded hash browns were harder than hickory sticks. Toast, bacon and coffee all good. Never thought it was possible to mess up a simple breakfast. Service just ok.

So many beautiful desserts behind the glass counter! I think there were 5 types of pie, 3 types of cookies, maybe 4 or 5 cheesecakes and many squares. I chose the lime cheesecake that definitely didn’t disappoint! So yummy! We also loved the coconut cookie.I’m used to Italian sodas with some kind of pop like 7-up, but it wasn’t very sweet so maybe it was sparkling water and syrup? That part wasn’t my favourite. But we did love everything else and the service was excellent.We’ll definitely be back!

Delicious food to start with, I had the dill Benny and my husband the reg breakfast. We were both impressed. Service was wonderful. We did find the restaurant to be a little noisy , mostly due to he wonderful crowd that enjoyed on the same day we did, all good. Maybe some sound absorbers etc. all the hearing challenged people will return to enjoy your fare once again. We wish you every success! Mark and Nancy ,Blackfalds AB

First time and won't be the last time. This place is busy at times but the service is great and so is the food and drink! We came for brunch and it was just after a rush as they were cleaning quite a few tables. We were welcomed by all the staff and when our server got busy other staff jumped right in to check on us. We can't get over how well trained the service team is! Great job all around. Oh and make sure to try the Earl Grey Millycinos!

Was a really nice experience. The restaurant is bright, and clean. The staff was cheerful, knowledgeable of their menu. Menu was huge but we narrowed it down to versions of eggs benny and were not disappointed! I had the chicken and waffle benny which had maple syrup as well as the best homemade hollandaise sauce! It was the best meal ive had in a really long time. We will most definitely be back. Good staff, Great food!

The menu has some intriguing features and I ordered accordingly. For my beverage I had the lavender white hot chocolate. It was phenomenal and I would order it again. I decided to try the grilled peach avocado toast with fruit salad. The toast comes with two eggs any style. I went with hard poached and they were cooked to order. (Most places have trouble getting the poach hard, but not here.) The toast is waffles, which was a nice twist. It was topped with grilled peaches, the eggs, generous slices of avocado, goat cheese, pine nuts and a very tasty type of sprout or other green. (Sorry, can't remember the name.) It was a unique and delicious combination.The fruit salad, however, should have been tossed out a day or two ago. The pineapple was withered and looks like it had sat uncovered for quite awhile. The watermelon was not fresh...it had lost it's crispness. There were also pomegranate aerials, which were fine. I imagine the fruit salad was lovely a couple days ago, but should not have been served like it was.I looked at the dessert case and there is quite a lovely variety. I bought a fresh cinnamon bun to go. For later. Later didn't happen ... it was still warm and was so yummy. (I did share it, it was a generous size.)Overall, I feel the menu and presentation is classy. The unique combinations are a delight. There is room for improvement with some things, as other reviews state, but I definitely plan to return.

Stopped in Lacombe while on a road trip and we got coffee. It's such a lovely place. So much love in the details and so many options for take away. Service was fast and friendly and prices are just slightly above average. If you're lucky you might find parking space available. If not, there's options in walking distance.
