The comedian we saw that night was very good. But the staff were rude and oddly militant about their no talking/whispering rule. I have been to dozens of stand-up comedy shows and never experienced such an environment. I didn't even dare look at my partner for the remainder of the show when we were told to stop whispering (about a joke) after the joke when the audience was laughing. We will not return.

Absolutely love this comedy club! They have free shows for the month of your bday and an 'Acme insider' club (free) to get updates on shows etc. Be sure to check out their page for shows and specials. There is a parking across the street (metered). The restaurant Sticks is by it where on certain occasions you can get a meal package and the show. The price of the desserts were a bit high. We got the flourless chocolate cake for $10 and expected it to be larger.

It was my first time at a comedy club and I think it went well. There were a lot of stairs to deal with, which wasn't fun since I walk with a cane, but I got through that part okay. Bathrooms were pretty small and not very clean. There was this bar off to the side before entering the club that seemed really fancy, and I loved the decor. The bar had like a service window that opened into the comedy club, which is kinda genius, if you ask me. I was there to support a friend who had entered a stand-up contest, so there were a handful of people who got a few minutes each to try to make us laugh (the contest people), followed by a couple of (apparently) more well-known comedians. It was a nice time, the chairs were comfortable, there were little tables to set your drinks on, and even though the place seemed to be packed full, there was plenty of room where I was seated so I didn't feel claustrophobic or anything.

I'm sure this entire experience could be molded by who is performing, but the venue itself was great. It has such a classic comedy club vibe. We will absolutely go again.

4.5 Stars actually. The staff is friendly, and helpful. The drinks were great - our group had wine, beer, scotch neat and a jack and coke. Comedy was super, although for my taste, the opening acts were better than the headliner, but that's simply my personal taste. Can't wait to go back.

We got tickets to dinner and a show at Acme, and it was a great experience. The restaurant, Sticks, is pleasant and the food was delicious. By doing the combo the staff takes your order for dinner and then goes and reserves you seats at the comedy club so you can sit and dine at leisure and don't have to worry about not getting a seat - although there isn't a bad seat in the house. The comedy club stage has definitely seen its share of stage acts that shows its age but that only adds to the charm. The wait staff continues to serve inside the comedy club too. And the comedians were hilarious! Highly recommend.

Loved the Acme Comedy Club space. You sit in comfortable chairs around small tables that hold your drinks. This is a roomy set up for those of us who struggle to squeeze into traditional theater seats.We saw Brad Upton on a Wednesday night in a sold out performance. Parking was plentiful right across the street.Sticks restaurant is on site for those who wish to dine before the show. We did not so I can't speak to that.I would readily agree to go again. Very pleasant evening out.

We did dinner and a show. Food and drinks were alright.. I would definitely recommend the cakes for dessert! Enjoyed the show, great comics. Waitresses went to everyone around us though so we didn’t get a chance to order more drinks. I would still go back.

Great venue with a consistently great lineup of comedians, and it is located in the North Loop which is my favorite neighborhood in minneapolis. You can go to a show here and take a short walk to some of the best restaurants in the country afterwards.This should be on everyone's list of things to do in Minneapolis.

First time here, and I wasn't disappointed at all! It was open mic night, and even the audience didn't disappoint. Some performers were very good and others not quite, but the audience encouraged each of the performers. It was a long drive, but I will be making it again soon. Thank you Acme for such a great venue for comics and audiences alike!
