I discovered Vernon on Etsy while looking for an extra long full size bed for my 17yr old son who is tall and has an odd sized room that does not fit a queen. After much back and forth Vernon helped me design a perfect made-to-measure bed and then we ended up designing a made-to-measure student bedroom set to match. We custom designed the bed with captain drawers, then a desk with attached side shelf and hutch, and finally an 84 inch long media wall unit. The furniture was lovingly crafted, beautiful and fit perfectly with space left for my son's giant bean bag chair. The bed needed assembly which turned out to be easy. The other pieces shipped as mostly complete units (the media unit towers were each shipped as fully made towers, the desk, hutch and side shelf came as a three piece set that fastened together easily).We are in Toronto so I was worried about shipping but we managed to make it work with some creativity. Long hall tractor trailers can't drive into the city so we met the trucker in a large mall parking lot. There were some COVID related delays from order date to completion date but Vernon was honest about all the time lines and kept in contact with me with updates. He had me follow him on Instagram to see the furniture being built. The workmanship & craftsman quality of the solid wood custom furniture set was worth the wait. We are very happy customers. This is forever furniture.

A great experience from start to finish. Ordered a china closet and a custom island. Both are well made and beautiful. I can't say enough about how great of an experience it was after dealing with a different company that took my money and disappeared. Vern makes top quality furniture. We first ordered a bed and night stand which we were very impressed with. Now also had him make a custom dining room table and chairs. Highly recommend if you are looking for local custom hand made furniture!
