My stair contractor took off suddenly leaving the stairs unfinished.  I needed to find a reputable contractor, who could finished the stairs.  Unfortunately, most did not want to touch someone else's unfinished job.  Some gave me a vague quote based on the photos I sent.  I couldn't take them seriously.   Then, Kyle from Sapphire Surfaces responded to my email.   He set up an appointment to see the stairs.    Then, gave me his opinion as to what needs to be done and how he would proceed to make it work.  Clearly, he was very knowledgeable in the field. His quote was reasonable.  As I hired him, he gave me the approximate date that he could start.   .Kyle and his brother Jay along with another helper came to work on time.  They were respectable of my recently renovated home, being very careful with how they operate their equipment and tools. They worked diligently.  My stair handles had many corners and Kyle took his time to design it right with function and appearance in mind. It turned out great!  They were all very meticulous with their work and knew what needed to be done.  However, if I had an idea or want to make some changes, they were good listeners and did their best to accommodate.Kyle also took care of the the plumbing for the laundry sink.  After, he adjusted the cabinet doors which the other contractor left it crooked. They even helped me out with the kitchen vent hood that was making a weird sound every time it was turned on. By taking down the hood chimney, they found out the source of the noise...  Thanks Kyle and Jay.All in all,  Sapphire surfaces did a great job completing an unfinished stairs from the first appointment for discussion to the two days of long hours and hard work.  They made everything easy.  I would have no problem recommending Sapphire Surfaces to others.

I can summarize my experience with Kyle and Jay at Sapphire Surfaces in one sentence…a best in class installation and customer service experience second to none. After contacting several contractors for my home renovation project, which primarily consisted of replacing the hardwood flooring through out the house with new, retrofitting the existing staircase into a glass staircase, adding wainscoting throughout and removing/installing new porcelain floors, I decided to proceed with Kyle and Jay’s services. From the first point of contact, Kyle was very informative with respective to providing considerations for my project and put the time in to really understand my objectives, both from a delivery and budget perspective. The execution started right on the date planned, with virtually no delays in the projected timelines with the quality of the delivery exceeding my high expectations. Some of the “intangibles” that really jumped out were Kyle’s ability to take on the full scope of the above listed project items (many other contactors could only do certain elements) , his crew’s flexibility to work seamlessly in an environment where there were other separate renovation projects occurring in parallel and his personal presence on site throughout the entire project. I would certainly work with Sapphire Surfaces again and recommend them to my closest friends and family.

Kyle did an amazing job with his crew! He went above and beyond with taking into consideration small details with superb craftsmanship.He kept us up to date with the process and helped us understand what he was doing and why, (this was great for me as I have O.C.D ) for example he was trimming back the stairs and adding cushion room to quiet or get rid of the squeak in the very old stairs. He was able to complete the stairs in a few days and worked neat. There was no issues living in the space and using the stairs when they were working except leaving time for the stain to dry.The finished product was gorgeous! Everyone who visits is in love with our stairs. He was able to create a great focal point in our house based on examples I sent of my inspirational stairs photos I saw online. He communicated well through text and phone and was able to provide examples of his previous work to ensure that he would be able to meet my expectations. He was very professional and had amazing customer service. My boyfriend accidentally removed some of the stain when completing our renovations and Kyle was so nice and came back and retain the patches with no charge! He was able to finish the landing with spare wood from my flooring and complete the moulding around the edge of the stairs and landing for a little extra cost. The stain matches well with the wood from our upstairs flooring and continues well with the laminate on our main floor.I would recommend Sapphire Surfaces to any of my friends and family! My parents are thinking of using this company when they have to redo their stairs soon. Kyle was professional, had great customer service, and very knowledgable. They go above and beyond with their work!
