Grandt Kitchen Surrey

Came here today for the second time with my fam. First time I came here wasn’t the best but wanted to give them another try since it was closeby.Food was just okay if you compare with other Filipino restaurants in surrey.Service today was BAD. Server took too long to come to our table to take our order. When food came, she did not even check on us if our food was okay or if we needed anything else. I had to go up to the counter to ask for things.What happened next really irritated us. After we finished our food, we stacked up the dirty plates near the edge so the server can easily take them. I called the server over to order desserts (different server from the one who took our food order, first server was on break I think). We were expecting her to take the dirty plates after she took our dessert orders, since she’s going back towards the kitchen anyways, but she didn’t bother. She just left them on the table.When she came back with the desserts, this time I was really expecting her to take the dirty plates because we wanted to eat dessert with a clear table like in any other restaurants. But she didn’t! She dropped off the desserts and started to walk away. The dirty plates were clearly right in front of her! So when she started to walk away, I got her attention and asked her if she can take the dirty plates away. She gave us attitude and said “if you guys want to sit at a clean table, you can move to the other table”. Then she took one stack of the dirty plates and left the other stack on the table. We were shocked by her attitude and that she suggested us to move with our desserts instead of just clearing the dirty plates on our table. I thought she would come back for the other stack right away but she didn’t until about 10 minutes later when we were done eating the desserts.To top all that, we were the only customers in the restaurant!!!Customer service needs improvement. We will not be coming back and do not recommend this place to anyone we know.

We had a wonderful time when we celebrated our dad’s birthday at Grandt Kitchen. It was a Sunday night and they had live music playing. It was amazing. The service was superb and all the food was very tasty. We came in late at the party. So I didn’t get to take pictures. There’s about 16 of us eating and we all fit with lots of room to move around. We had a few children in our party of 16 and they enjoyed the food too. We ordered A la carte so we had so many individual dishes. We had left overs to take home. The crispy pata is a bomb compared to other restaurants I’ve been. The skin was so well cooked and crispy that it’s not burned or over cooked. The Kare Kare was excellent as I can really taste the flavours. The fried chicken was well seasoned and crispy. In total we ordered about 14 dishes and we ordered 2 of each. The halo halo at the end of the meal was the perfect dessert after the hearty meal we had. I’ve seen other people from the other table have the boodle fight and it looked so good and people seems to enjoy that. so we’ll try that out next time with friends. Overall, we had an amazing time eating and experiencing Filipino food. I highly recommend this restaurant. So come down and try it out to experience what Filipino dishes are and how good it truly is.

Came in on a Friday after work because I wanted to treat myself and I was happily surprised.I got the fried pork hock and pork adobo. Got home cooked some rice and went to town. Those two dishes were good enough for like 2 or 3 meals and I'm not a small person.It was my 1st time trying pork hock and I'm thinking about it almost 2 weeks later about how delicious it was and wanting to eat it again. It had the crispy skin I love, tender meat and succulent fat...dipped in the vinegar it was a Filipino experience I won't soon forget.The pork adobo was good too but I always forget about the peppercorns and sometimes they are surprise when you bite into them but I know it is part of the recipe.Big fan of the establishment and I am glad I get to support a Filipino restaurant in Surrey. I rounded out my Filipino dining experience with some San Miguels which paired nicely with the fatty pork. I will be back again soon.

The service was very friendly and courteous. The portion were large and very good. The prices are reasonable. I’ll be returning

The boodle fight is hands down the reason to check this place out. It’s an epic man vs food challenge that was definitely a fun experience for a group of friends and business contacts. Eating with our hands was an adventure and the BBQ and diversity of the food was great. Highly recommended- would repeat for sure

We hired Grandt to supply the chafing dishes and all serving equipment along with over 10 dishes of food for my 70th birthday party. Everyone was thrilled with the delicious food and they left satisfied. Bing and Bernadette were both professional and courteous and worked extremely hard to make my party a raving success. They delivered the food on time. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Grandt Kitchen. They truly are the best Filipino restaurant in Surrey hands down.

Tried Grandt Kitchen for the first time. Customer service is okay but can be improved.We ordered some food items similar to the other group that came after we were seated but for some reason, they keep getting their orders first before us even if we placed our orders before them. We had to follow up with the server to remind them of our orders.The price of the food items is reasonable but I have seen better portions for the same price.The food was okay, didn’t particularly tasted any different or special from other Filipino Restaurants.The washrooms are kept clean. There is always a music playing. Location has parking for customers. The halo-halo was the only food item that exceeded our expectations for the serving portion. It can feed up to 6 people. But because of its size, it didn’t taste as good as expected.Although it was not a superextra ordinary experience for the first time, I will probably come back for a second try.

If you're craving or wanting to try authentic Filipino cuisine in Surrey, definitely have a hearty meal at Grandt Kitchen. To be very honest I forget the names of the dishes but maybe other local guides can help name the photos. I will say one was a marinated pork dish that was just perfect with some potatoes that soaked up the flavor. And the soup was very unique as it was an enjoyable sour tangy and meaty taste that went down vert well. Enjoy!

I dined in and ordered the Tapsilog and and dessert. Food was okay but nothing to write home about.I have also ordered takeout twice, the crispy bagnet, which is one of my favourite filipino dishes. Unfortunately, this place appears to be very inconsistent. One time I ordered it, the food was piping hot, incredibly crispy, and felt fresh and delicious. The next time, it was unbelievably cold, stale, and felt like it had just been microwaved for 30 seconds, put in the box and given to me.If you come here, you will likely get an OK meal with no major complaints. The inconsistency that I experienced was hopefully just a one time off, but is very unfortunate.

Great, affordable Filipino food. The tapsilog, lumpia, kare-kare and halo-halo were amazing. They also have a boodle fight / kamayan option which is great for groups.
