Apple Tree Sandwich Shop

Super busy when we went and a 20 minute plus wait for our food (warned when we ordered!) and totally worth the wait. Really delicious! We had the sub and the caliente sandwiches, fresh, hearty, delicious. Will come again. Drove in from Lardeau partially to try this place. Very happy we did. Hard working and friendly staff. Great outdoor garden area and a cool history of New Denver to read while waiting in their reading pile.

Grew up eating sandwiches from this joint. Food and service has always been exceptional!

I had the Club Sub, and it was an amazing sandwich. I'm not usually a sandwich kinda guy but it was delicious and satisfying. Really a great lunch.

This quaint sandwich shop in New Denver is a lovely place to stop for lunch. All our sandwiches were tasty and generously sized. We also had their home made dessert which was delicious.Their patio was a beautiful garden with picnic tables. It was quiet and made for a wonderful place to eat lunch.

I go through New Denver only twice a year. I had lunch at the Apple Tree once and now I look forward to it every time.I usually have their daily soup and sandwich special and I've never been disappointed! The breads are *fresh* and the sandwich built with care and generous portions. There's none of the meat in the middle and bare bread on the edges that is so common. Meat / salad / cheese / lettuce / fills the bread from edge to edge. Great from the first bite to the last.The soup must be home made because it's *so* good! I've had different soup every time and every time it's been very tasty and heart. I wish they sold jars to take home!And the best part is that it's reasonably priced, unlike other eateries in the Kootenays.I wish I could go once a week or more!

Stopped in for a coffee, in the middle of an already long day on the road.Coffee was fantastic, also had a delicious piece of cake for the road!Service was exceptional - I didn't realize I had wandered in as she was already closed, but she happily made my coffee, chatted, suggested areas to visit, and answered my questions about the area. I don't know anyone that would have been nearly so patient! She really went above and beyond!Worth a stop!

Stopped at Apple Tree after the great online ratings. Showed up 20 min before the posted closing time and was told rudely the kitchen was closed. I wanted to get a sandwich to go enjoy at the beach and would have paid and left well before closing. Most restaurants closing times are the time they stop taking orders. If that is the time they want to close fair enough but then put your closing time as 3:30 PM so people don't waste time parking or walking to your store. I hear the food is great!

Stop Here!! Great Food of the Sandwich, Soup and Coffee Variety. This is a Must if you are Driving through Slocan Valley/Kootenay Area. Food is made to order and portions are Largish. Staff is Friendly and Restaurant is in a Quaint Old-Time House. Second Time I have been here as I was Super Glad I found this Place the First Time, I got to Thank my Mom For that. Truly I believe you will Like this Place for a Pit Stop and a Feeling.

Owners are friendly, but the food is just Ok. Pretty standard soup and sandwich. I went here because of all the good reviews but was a bit disappointed. Maybe I just ordered the wrong item. Another factor that tainted my meal was all of the salami casings were left on the meat in the sandwich. I would have rated this as a 3 but the latter experience put this place at a 2 for me.
