Calle México Restaurant
Best thing was the chips and guac. Everything else was ok. Tacos were bland. Basically counter service with no service. Couldn’t get water, napkins. We were a large group sharing, and possibly not a popular concept. We asked for extra plates and cutlery and wert brought 4 sets of cutlery for 8 people and one extra plate. We don’t need to go back.

I love this place! The food is always fresh and delicious and the staff are always kind, even though they’re rushing around at top speed. The place has a great atmosphere and will pick up your spirits even in the dead of winter because you do feel like you’re in a family-run restaurant in Mexico ☺️

Its a nice little restaurant but no parking lot, on-street parking only. Once inside they gave us a friendly greeting and seated us right away with menus. You pick your choices, walk over to the desk to order and pay. Then your order is brought out with friendly service. We simply ordered nachos but were 'nachoed' out by the end as it was a good portion. As a surprise a guitarist showed up during our meal to serenade the restaurant with Latin music.

Best Mexican food in the city, HANDS DOWN.they had a mariachi band playing and it felt like I was back in Mexico.the only thing is I wish there was waitresses taking our orders instead of us having to go to the front to order. She takes out plates and brings the food to us so why can she also take our order?Anyway the food is so good it doesn’t even matter tbh.

We were looking for Mexican food and came upon this place. It was a cold snowy night but once we entered the restaurant we forgot about all that. Jorge was playing music which elevated the atmosphere and we learned a few Spanish words as well. We ordered beef and pork tacos and it was the most authentic Mexican food I've experienced in Canada. Overall very good food and nice atmosphere.

Super lively and colourful atmosphere with amazing staff. The food is beautiful and delicious! Perfect place to eat on a adventurous evening out and about exploring the downtown south side.
