Kaimas Lithuanian Restaurant
This restaurant is fantastic. The rustic, honey interior is reminiscent of a small cottage kitchen. The food and staff are just as welcoming and wonderful. The beer is nice as well. We shared the fried bread with cheese, which is such a lovely, delicious dish and quite filling. We only tasted our entrees and had to take the remainder home. This was a bonus because these made for tasty leftovers for lunch the next day. The restaurant can accommodate larger groups but is also quaint and a nice place for a couple. Kaimas is kid-friendly as well and has an adorable play area in the downstairs of the restaurant. We can't wait to go back. If in Peterborough, this is a great place to eat or have a beer.

I have been there twice. First time was more or less ok, waiting time long but not too long and chicken with cheese was good. The second time we went later on Friday. Had to wait very long time but waiters did apologise for that. All place smells of cigarette smoke from smoking area right by the entrance door, football on tv was horribly loud and men watching it even louder. Chiken sashlik was dry and salad not in my liking, desert was fine but ice cream with it had ice bits in it. On a plus side portions are huge.

Cocktails were awful. Food was good but waited too long for it to arrive.Service was great and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

1st time here and 1st time at Lithuanian restaurant. Brought by our Lithuanian friends. Food was fantastic and flavorful. Potato dishes not bland. Stuffed pork with Horseradish was excellent. Savory, tangy, lightly sweet, crunchy on the outside, creamy in the middle. Very colloquial feel inside. Paintings of the Old World. Felt like home with the big chairs, low ottoman lounges. Definitely try the fermented rye drink

I often go here with my boyfriend however they never have any of the veggie/vegan options advertised in their menu. They should update the menu if they are unable to cater for vegans. Service was slow for my group but food was tasty (apparently).

Never back to that one.. Definitely not.Kaimas is not like was before!!!Service totally disaster!Pay cash only!Poor menu(we don’t have that, sorry we don’t have that as well..)Ok show me what you have in your kitchen please matching your menu???Maybe salmon grill? Sorry salmon finished..OMG….

Don’t eat much before you visit. Portions are very generous. Very tasty food. Highly recommended
