Morningside: An Active Lifestyle Retirement Community

Morningside is an over 55 active lifestyle community. You do not own the land your house is built on. There are good and bad points to this. The cost of the homes is relatively low, but the monthly condo fee, which includes land lease is high. All outside chores such as yard maintenance and snow removal are covered by the condo fee. Any maintenance to your house, such as roof or windows is not. Gas, Hydro, water, cable etc are your responsibility.The homes are free standing, around 1000 to 1600 Sq. Ft. Depending on the model. The community provides all types of activities and has its own library, community hall, swimming pool, and garden plots.The residents are friendly. The land is well kept, and you have a much more open and quiet feeling in a stand alone house as compared to a condo tower.

Really great place for senior living, my grandparents live there. Really friendly people, well kept neighbourhoods with lots of things for people to do. They have a huge community garden for residents, a well loved bocce court, horseshoe pit, pool, community room, bingo nights and so much more.

Friendliest caring people. Very blessed to live here! Great location just west of Kitchener and right on the Nith river. Great path to walk.

I can't give the most fair review as I work for somebody who lives there. From my experience, the folks are friendly, the houses are a great size for a retirement community and they're close to all of the amenities.

My grandparents have lived here for 20 years. It is a wonderful community for elderly people. There is a local hall where all kinds of social activities go on; darts, dancing, shows, and more. The houses are very well kept and the people are very friendly.

We need more places like this for people to retire to and still be able to be active and live a fulfilling life after retirement.

My wife visited some family friends at Morningside last year. Coming from a big city, she told me how surprising it was to receive so many friendly greetings from absolute strangers, just by walking down the street. She was really impressed with the vast gardens and greenery. I saw photos from her visit and it looked really charming, warm, and cheerful.

This is a good place for people who are retired and want to do activities around the area. Also, I like the people in new hamburg retirement community. I like visiting may grandma and grandpa here sometimes. you have to be age 50 and to be retired to live here. if you are under 50 and you don't work or work you are not allowed to be in a retirement community. You can't live there but you can visit.
