Great family owned lumber yard. Just don't expect any customer service. Had three experiences in the last three months that tell me to shop elsewhere.

I made several calls to their office, engaging in conversations with different representatives, each time expressing my interest in working for the company and inquiring about available positions. Unfortunately, this initial enthusiasm soon turned into disappointment as my repeated requests for follow-up or an update on my application went unanswered.What frustrated me the most was the consistent assurance that someone would contact me soon. It has now been more than a month since my initial attempt to establish contact, and to my dismay, not a single call has been received from Canex Building Supplies. This lack of communication and disregard for potential candidates reflects poorly on the company's professionalism and respect for aspiring employees.As a job seeker, I understand that companies receive numerous applications and it may take time to review them all. However, a simple courtesy of acknowledging my inquiry or providing a timeline for the hiring process would have gone a long way in managing my expectations. It was okay. No one was really interested in selling us anything and took forever to find what we were looking for.

Staff was stupendous and the shelves were stocked with a bit of everything. It was actually nice to bypass the dizzy overwhelming can't decide which one to buy feeling with so many options. They got what u need and it's in and out without the madness!

This business caters to the professionals so it's hours aren't as convenient as Home Depot and Rona and the products they carry are not necessarily the same.....I prefer Canex because the product lines are usually better for what I need but each has its place.All my experiences at Canex, the staff are more accessible when you need assistance and there are fewer problems finding said staff, they were all great. Recommended over Rona or Home Depot but each, again has its place
