Salon de coiffure So-Haut Moderne Styliste

I had been to this salon before and had a fairly positive experience; polite staff and the stylist took the time to make sure she knew what I wanted. This time, however, was different as I received the worst haircut of my life from a different stylist. I had asked the stylist for light layers, and I ended up with hair far shorter than I wanted that looked like a helmet. The whole process felt rushed as I watched the stylist quickly cut large chunks out of my hair. I ended up with two layers on either side of my face that were completely different lengths. I didn't notice how awful the cut was until I had time to examine it after I left the salon, and cried over it for the rest of the day. My hair is now too short to even tie back, so I can only hide it by wearing a hat for the next few months. I don't even know if it's possible to fix it because it is already far shorter than I wanted. This review is only meant for the stylist who cut my hair and I'm sure that the other stylists are very competent, as there are so many positive reviews for this salon. But if it wasn't obvious enough, I will not be taking the chance to come back here.

My mom went there for a hair cut and color, 300$ later, worst hair cut ever, uneven and chopy, i think a 5 year old could have done a better job. She asked for blonde highlights and left with black highlights....later found out the person responsible for this mess was actually a barber and never even took a hairstylist course. You should not be charging this amount if you do not have the credentials. :( You should be honest and let people know what they are getting into. shame on you!

It did not have a weird tension between the employees like I felt at other places. My stylist is always on time and very reliable.

My wife Booked an appointment here over the phone but since covid she had to be put on a waiting list to be called back. She Was given an appt with one of their more rude stylists who only does her friends. She made that very clear when my wife arrived at her given time for the appt. It was a terrible experience and she was made to feel terribly about their booking mistake.

Jacinthe is beyond amazing! If you have thick curly hair, go see her and be blown away at what she can do. Her hair colouring techniques are above par and seem to last way longer than anything I have experienced. Elle a du vrai talent d'artiste. I travel for very far to see her. You will not regret it. She is worth the price.

This is one Racist place! I went there for my appointment and when I entered they told me that there is no electricity and they can't cut my hair! Whereas cutting hair requires scissors and zero electricity, and other clients were getting their done! The receptionist told me they will call me back" for another appointment but of course never did. I guess you can go there if you are only white and speak french!"

Best stylists in town. Roxanne is the pixie specialist! I have thick, difficult hair and she manages to tame it.
