Great course, but the Marshall followed us along the ENTIRE course & kept being rude & nagging at us to play best ball even though it only took us 4h42 (verified by The Grint app) for the entire round, which is only a little bit more than a typical round. Nobody was behind us because we let a foursome play ahead since one of our players is starting out. One of our players (out of 3) was a man, and he was the only person the Marshall addressed. He did not speak a word to myself and the other player (who are both women) and was consistently pulling up behind us to watch us hit. We paid the same amount of money as everyone else to be there ($221 for 3 people, to be clear), but he ruined the round for us. We didn’t even want to play the last 3 holes, but we did because he was watching. If you want to broaden the reach of the game of golf, you have to make it accessible, and we didn’t feel as though it was. “Pace of play” is relevant, but we weren’t holding anyone up, so I don’t understand what the issue was. If you’re going, you better be a group who plays a full 18 within 3 hours. Good luck.

Got hassled by the Owner/ Course Superintendent Daniel Leclair playing behind us on his own course. He made the marshal approach us two times because of pace of play, however we were waiting on every hole since the 5th hole. When that approach didn’t work, he came up to us on the tee and lazered the distance to the group in front of us to try and prove that we should hit up on them. This was unnecessary as we all knew that we would be waiting on the tee and green as well. The group in front of us was waiting too!As if that wasn’t enough, once we were leaving the green towards our carts, they hit two balls at our carts! The owner and his partners then came up and told us that we needed to do the same to the group in front of us! More of his paying customers! Things switched from him being rude and overbearing to a matter of health and safety. It was absolutely dangerous.I play this course weekly and truly enjoy the nice staff and conditions. I feel sorry for anyone that has to work for Daniel Leclair because if he treats paying customers this way, who knows how he treats his staff. He is an embarrassment.

Played a five and a half hour round on Sunday when our tee off was at 9am. For the $100+ price it was pathetic that not a single marshal passed by to check how things were going. The course is nice but for the location and pace of play it should be a $60 round with a cart. The guys behind us also kept hitting into us even though they could see the foursome in front of us stopping our play.I likely will not play here again unless the members I played with me tell me the pace of play has been improved upon. Green to tee box locations are also a little annoying, so much backwards travel into the line of fire.

I was out golfing with some friends at this course and we all found that the prices were reasonable and it was nice that one drink was included as well as the use of two golf carts. Definitely coming back to this golf course.

Great course, great condition, tricky greens. 1 negative: Sept 30, 2022, being asked to pick up pace when the group behind is 2 holes back and the group in front is 2 holes ahead... how fast do you want us to play? We played 18, 4 guys walking, in just under 4 hours... I think that's a good pace.

As a member this might be a biased review so read on but just be aware. This course is in great shape yet again this year and the maintenance staff is out every morning in force getting things ready for the day (I know as I am often in the first group off the tee). They have done an awesome job keeping up with the increased number of rounds this year. The track is very challenging in places and you need to be on your game to stay out of some trouble but for the most part if you play from the correct tees you will be in good shape. Tee Boxes and fairways are in good condition and greens are in great condition (now if only some of you would fix your ball marks). Greens are faster than avg and provide a nice challenge with some undulations and ridges. While this course is walkable there are many elevation changes and a few short steep climbs so if you are looking for an excuse to ride a cart this would be the reason.Over the past 2 years many of the ash trees have been dying off and while they cleaned up many trees last year they just can't seem to keep up and they have become a bit of an eye soar (a shame really). The course is a little east of Ottawa just off the 417 and is easy to access from the highway and I'm told the rates are reasonable given other courses in the area but as a mbr I don't pay green fees and really can't compare.Pace of play is much better in the morning than the afternoon but that is true about most courses. You can expect to play in 4 1/2 hrs on avg as a 4some anytime after 10am.Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will do whatever they can to make your day enjoyable. If you get a slow day just take your time and enjoy the day.

They do not offer 9 hole rounds. My playing partner is not able to play 18. Tried to book a 9 hole and have breakfast after but I guess they are not interested in business. Not a single tee time was booked on that day

I went once last year, and so decided to go again this year as the course is very nice and reasonably priced. However, for the second time (out of 2), I'm very disappointed about the marshal. Telling everyone to play best ball, pick up the pace, sits in his cart and watches you, and let's you know again how far behind you are when there is nobody behind you....... too bad he ruins the day by being rude. I read some reviews before posting this, and I'm happy to see we weren't the only ones with the same problem. Hopefully, they will replace the marshal with anybody else. Until then, I will not recommend this course.
