Casa Mia Cafe Guatemalan Food
My family and I went to Casa Mia not too long ago and already counting the days when I can go back and try something new.Casa Mia doesn't need to be fancy because the food and the service speaks for itself. Our host was gracious, funny, and hospitable. To be honest, I felt like family the moment we stepped into the restaurant to the moment we left.We had an assortment of food to try but my absolute favourite were the pupusas, tamales, and a seafood dish with peanut sauce that was to die for.I'll be returning on different days of the week to ensure that I try everything on their rotating menu. Keeps things fun and exciting. Definitely a must try if you're in the area.... but also definitely worth the drive from anywhere.

Casa Mia Cafe is a lovely, small family own restaurant. The owners are super friendly and the food is delicious. Daughter in law, Mira, was so friendly and you can ask her questions about the food. For guatemalan food, they have weekly menu posted. For Indonesian food, different menu everyday and you can call then to find out the Indonesian menu for the day and tomorrow. We had pupusas, Bandeng Balado (spicy fish) and chicken curry lodeh. For drinks, we ordered guatemalan homemade drinks, tamarindo and hibiscus. For dessert, we had guatemalan super soft sweet bun (don’t remember the name). All are so yummy!! Definitely coming back and recommend to everyone. Beside the restaurant, they sell fresh corn tortillas and some guatemalan and Indonesian snacks and chilis.

A new guatemalan restaurant in town and maybe the only. Their food is quite special from other typical restaurant. They have taco, burrito, pupusas, and other daily. They do offer a daily special. Those dishes are really unique and definitely different from other restaurant. Food taste awesomely good. They sell spanish bottled soft drinks. If you are looking for something new to try, this is definitely a place to go to. I will try to see if i can try all the daily special.

Casa Mia cafe is one of those restaurants that make it feel like you're in a small shop in another country. Unassuming, simple decor but clean and well kept. The food was delicious, authentic and bursting with flavor. It was our first time there so the owner gave us a bunch of little dishes to try out. She was very hospitable and kind like we were guests in her home. You can tell they take pride in their food and want to share their culture with neighbours. We tried the tamales, pupusas, some fried seafoods that reminded me of pakoras, lemongrass chicken, corn cakes and a fried dessert with some sort of custard in it.This is really what makes Surrey so unique - no need for gimmicky, overpriced hipster foods here! Just down to earth, delicious food made with love.

I've been to this restaurant a few times now, and what keeps me coming back is the amazing food, and the excellent service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic indonesian food - which is what I was looking for after a wonderful trip to that country. The owner is also very accommodating of those who are vegetarian. It's been a pleasure eating at this cafe and I will definitely be back again.
