Meenan's Cove Beach

Beach isn't sandy, but the water is nice and warm. Nice playground for kids, Lots of picnic tables and places to eat. Great spot to spend an afternoon.

Nice place, quiet. Nice little walking trail, play area for children. Small beach. Quaint.

Short little trail, will take you about 5 min to complete. There's a nice playground. Not much left of the beach though. You can canoe and There's 2 decent boat launch ramps for small to mid sized boats. Few covered bbq areas with picnic tables. Was very clean and quiet. Lots of parking spaces.

Great place to spend an afternoon with family or for relaxing alone! There is a playground for smaller children to one side. There are a few sheltered picnic areas with charcole BBQ stands, first come, first serve. A ball field is located in front. A small trail for walking and enjoying nature with a charming mini wooden covered bridge. There is a boat dock and slip. The beach is maintained and has a lifeguard on duty in the summer months. Hours are posted when in season. Check with local authorities on swimming notices ahead of time for water quality. Dogs are welcomed on a leash and may swim outside the designated areas that are indicated by floating barriers. Washrooms are located in the back of the building, ground level. There is also a portable washroom next to the playground. The parking lot is easy and spacious. The only reason this isn't a five-star rating is that I couldn't find a water fountain for a child who didn't have a bottle with them. When I went into the bathroom, there were no signs stating if the water was potable. There were no staff visible or when searched for to ask. It's always your own responsibility to have water with you and stay hydrated. However, in the case of a child not being prepared, having signage to assist would have been beneficial. Otherwise, I highly recommend it!!!

I regularly visit Meenan's Cove. Great place to take the dog on a short trail walk that circles the area. Nice beach with boat launch. Beautiful area to kayak. The newly rennovated Beach House is a great venue for any occasion. Beach Volleyball courts and Ball field are top notch. For its size this is an excellent facility.

Nice family beach for swimming and bbq. Picnic shelter with bbq for charcoal. Port a potty. Near a boat launch, playground and volleyball. Later in summer check whether allowed to swim. Today it was refreshing and lovely!
