Little Munchkins Hideout Day Care

I moved my son from a licensed home daycare to Little Munchkins for the summer before he started Kindergarten -- and it was one of the best decisions I think I have made for him! LMHD staff are incredible - they care so much for the children, and help them learn all the skills, behaviours and responsibilities they will need when they start kindergarten. They also keep parents updated each day, sending awesome photos of your kids having a blast, and keep you up to date on the menus and activities each week. The kids have SO much fun there - whether it's playing in the huge back yard, doing circle time or cool crafts, reading, or eating the delicious fresh food and snacks they are provided each day. My son went from feeling shy and nervous about school (before he started at LMHD) to blossoming into a confident, outgoing and excited kindergartner in the period of just 2 months! Today on his first day, he confidently and happily walked right up to the school yard without even looking back for a second - he is ready to take on the world :) Thank you so much LMHD for creating such an amazing experience for me and my son this summer, and for helping both of us get ready for his first day of big school"! Little Munchkins has been a great daycare for my children. Both girls attended there for about two years and it felt like home away from home for them. We always knew that the girls are in safe and caring hands, and it was an additional advantage that the staff and the owner were so approachable and eager to discuss any issue related to our children at any time. Thank you deeply to all involved in LMHD. It's a great deal to trust your children to someone for the whole work day and we felt very safe and confident that the girls are spending good time, eating good stuff and in general are in a caring and loving environment - that's what any 2 to 4 year old needs :)

Our experience has been amazing ! I definitely recommend. We were coming from another province and luckily found LMHD. The owner Sonia and her daughter Aanchal have been great since the beginning. All the staff takes cares so much about the kids . It was hard for our son to adjust at first but they have been so patient . He soon became so excited to go to daycare to see his friends and teachers.Food is all homemade. They have a really healthy and diverse menu.Parents are part of What’s app and we can communicate with teachers at all time . We love getting pictures throughout the day. Ever week we receive a recap of the week, activities, meals …This year they organized Graduation of the kids and all parents/family were invited .They are really passionate and care a lot about the kids !I’m so grateful we found LMHD !!

I was looking for a day care for my daughter when we moved to Ottawa. Little Munchkins Hideout day care was recommended.The staff are hardworking, professional and friendly.They helped my daughter develop her self confidence, motor and social skills.The proprietress, her daughter and the staff are very responsible and makes sure the kids are well taken care of. The daily photos and weekly updates keeps me well informed about everything that transpires in the center. The orderly manner in which drop offs and pickups are arranged is highly recommendable especially in this covid era. Little munchkins is highly recommended for its educational, hygienic and child friendly environment.

If I could give this Centre 10 stars I would!!My 15 month old son has been going to LMHD for almost 4 months now and we absolutely love it!Amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset,which can be hard to find now a days. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualised way. We appreciate all the daily updates with pics/videos. You know it is an amazing place when they don’t ever want to leave at pick up. LMHD has been part of our family <3I highly recommend this center to other parents.

My son has been excited about Little Munchkins Daycare since he joined it two years ago. The staff are extremely supportive and cooperative. The programs are quite amazing and have had a positive impact on my son who ostensibly grew in many aspects.I therefore strongly recommend this facility to anyone willing to send their kids there because I am sure it will meet their expectations.

Our daughter's first daycare had unfortunately closed permanently during covid and when it came time for her to go back to daycare we a bit hesitant. However, after meeting Sonia, the owner, and seeing her enthusiasm and pride in munchkins, we decided to enrol our little one. Since she had been at home for a few months, we weren't sure how she was going to react, but all the staff made sure she settled right in. Our daughter loves going in every morning and often wants to stay longer in the afternoon to do crafts. I appreciate the regular pics, messages, and weekly wrap ups from the staff. We have noticed that she has really developed since entering munchkins, and she really enjoys the holiday crafts and special activities they do for each holiday. Very happy we found munchkins!

We moved to Ottawa a year ago and LMHD was one of the few daycare centres I had contacted. Sonia took her time to explain everything to me about the daycare which put my little anxious mama heart at ease! The cute little centre is filled with loving and caring staff who will make your child feel so special and welcome everyday that they are there. The food served will turn any picky eater into a food lover! The centre easily became a second home to my son in no time :) We loved our experience there and highly recommend LMHD !!!

My daughter has been going to daycare at Little Munchkins Hideout for over a year now and she has absolutely loved every minute of it. The staff is so friendly and organized and the activities are well suited for all the kids to participate in. They really go above and beyond to plan each day out and what the kids are going to do and its very structured. I love that there is no TV and the focus is really on learning the fundamentals to get our little ones ready for school. I have seen my child grow and develop so much over the last year and I'm forever grateful. The food menu is also amazing and well thought out. Thank you for all the time and care you have put into taking care of our little ones! We will miss you so much when she starts school this year. I highly recommend this spot to anyone interested in putting their child in daycare. Thanks for everything!

I had the pleasure of being part of the little munchkins family for 8 years.I say family because that’s exactly what little munchkins becomes, the staff and owners become very close! We still keep in touch to this day and share photos of my babies as I left on maternity leave. The owners were always accommodating to each and every child’s unique needs to ensure the families were always happy with their childrens care. My step son attended little munchkins for four years and always loved going to daycare to learn and play, it helped socialize him and prepare him for kindergarten (which he flourished in). As an early childhood educator who’s worked at many centres in Ottawa I highly recommend LMHD, this was my first job many years ago! I was trained personally for many years by both Sonia & Katha!The owners always went above and beyond to ensure the children’s happiness, safety and individual needs. Sonia would also take the time after hours and on weekends to contact parents about the children’s well being and progress reports. Always ready to answer any parent inquiries day or night.
