It is less than a 5 minute drive from Algonquin College. With easy access off of Woodroffe Ave, you will find plenty of parking. It is across the parking lot from Loblaws. We’re a Canadian fast food restaurant chain, famous for our Japanese food which we cook fresh on our teppan grill with our signature teriyaki sauce. Edo's specialties include bento box meals, healthy noodle bowls, sushi (hand-rolled in-store daily), spring rolls, gyoza, miso soup and more! Edo Japan is one of the best spots you can go to for some asian food. Wide variety of different foods like noodles, rice, sushi and other. There are also a lot of combinations of them. I am a regular at this place, and not once have they let me down. or messed up my order. Quality food, quality place, I highly recommend it.

I bought this sushi today and it was very bad experience, the sushi wasn’t as it should be , I could not hold one piece because the rice was falling apart. Also, the teriyaki was dry and flavorless.I usually buy my sushi from barhaven location, but this time I tried the college square one, the difference is so obvious, barhaven location is way better.

Usually when you try a place for the first time you end up compromising on one of the things in the title, not the case with Edo Japan as it has it all. Not only that, but it comes at a great value. Part of the new expansion at Strandherd and Greenbank, this place is ideally located for South Barrhavenites. Fear not Ottawa they have a second location opening in College Square near Algonquin College. The Key to their success is awesome Fresh Food served fast. If you want it even faster use their mobile app and pick-up in store, that way you can take advantage of their rewards program.

Ordered the Veggie Sushi Platter and it was not bad. The Cucumber and Avocado just had 1 slice of it. More as well as smaller pieces would have been nice.

We ordered two bento boxes. The teriyaki chicken and shrimp were pretty good, the spring rolls were good, the gyoza were ok, and the tempura shrimp were good. A little pricey but we did feel quite full afterwards. The rice was ok, didn't taste fresh or good quality.

Edo Japan has bubble tea now!! For a place that doesn't specialize in bubble tea, I have to admit, it's pretty good. I was afraid that the tapioca pearls would be all hard and gross, but they were soft and springy. I've had the Brown Sugar Boba Milk with tapioca pearls and the Passion Fruit Green Tea with Coconut Jelly. Both were delicious! I like that you can get regular sweetness or half sweet (I got half sweet). I would like it more if I had the option of no added sugar at all. The drinks are only $4.95 each and on Double Bubble Mondays they are 2 for $7 (every Monday).I've had the food at Edo Japan too and it's pretty good for fast food. They have upped their game since the 1990s, which is like the last time I had them before I gave them another chance in 2021 and was impressed, so I've been more of a regular customer since 2021. Love their Bento boxes and noodle bowls.

Fair portion, but I didn't find the taste good (but not that had either). The store operates more like fast food. The store itself is quite bland with some tables to sit at.

This is a family favourite for takeout because everyone gets exactly what they want. The bento boxes are especially awesome because you can choose any two out of nine (!) sides. The shrimp tempura is better than AYCE places and takes out surprisingly well.
