The machine just didn't work! We had rented a skid steer c/w a tree mulcher attachment returned it after 3 hrs. when it was obvious that the machine did not work. We were under the impression that there would be no charges, yet soon found out that they charged us for the full day anyway. We had called thinking it had to just be a misunderstanding, But apparently they offer equipment rental with no guarantee to the actually working.

I had a terrible experience renting from this company. I rented a skid steer with mulcher attachment because it was the cheapest price/day I could find. I had quite a bit of mulching to do and was not sure how long I needed the machine so I booked it for a week and said I would bring it back earlier if I finished what I needed to do.It was indicated that a day consisted of 24 hour possession with 8 hours operating time which was similar to other rental companies that I had used (United Rentals, Cat Rentals, etc.) so I didn't think to much about it.I picked the unit up Friday morning and got to work. The unit worked just fine but we had one of our jobs fall through so we ended up finishing with the machine faster than we anticipated so we decided to clean it up and take it back early as we would be saving about $600. We cleaned the unit up with a pressure washer and I had a friend of mine take back the machine first thing Wednesday morning. When my friend dropped it off, they charged me for a 5 day rental, which is the same cost as renting the unit for a week (up to 56 hours of use) of which I only used 29.5 hours. I was surprised that they were charging me for both Saturday and Sunday as all other rental companies I have used were not open on the weekend so as long as you did not use the machine for over 8 hours over the weekend, they would only charge you for the one day.I indicated that the machine was not used at all on Sunday and that I was not aware that I would still be charged $610 for it to sit there and asked if they could not charge me for that day.I was referred to the manager/owner about it and Robert got back to me promptly. I explained the situation and he confirmed that the embedded GPS in the unit confirmed that it was not used at all on Sunday but he still said there was nothing he could do about it as it was clearly indicated to me when I picked up the unit. I told him that I never work on the Sundays and would have never picked the unit up on Friday if I had known. Robert would not budge saying it was not his fault I misunderstood, even though he said he has this conversation with 6 - 8 people per year.Because we already paid the equivalent of a full week rental, I threatened that we would just take the unit back and use up remaining hours that we had left (56 - 29.5 = 26.5 hrs remaining). He told me to go right ahead and said there was nothing else he could do. I was upset and told him that I would never rent from CDR Rentals again. I told my friend to pick the machine back up and we would use it for some other things around the farm.I got a call from Robert and he told me he doesn't want to rent to me anymore and refused to give the machine back and kicked my friend off their property. I told him he is essentially stealing from me because I paid the equivalent of a one week rental (same price as a five day rental) and I still had many hours of use that was owed to me but Robert said that because I told him to go pound sand and that I would never rent from him again that he no longer wants to do business with me.That is outright criminal, take someone's money and not allow them to use the unit. I could understand if I had sworn at him or was really rude but I kept my cool the entire time and as soon as I told him I would never rent from him again, he just his lost it, in my opinion, stole from me.Once they have your credit card, they can do whatever they want. Very disappointed and I would suggest that you rent from Cat Rentals as they have a skid steer/mulcher unit and although the daily rental rate is about $150 more, the weekly rate is almost $400 cheaper. Also, Cat rental will not charge you the $150 for cleaning the machine after and also includes insurance on any damage to the machine while anything you damage at CDR is on your dime. I will never rent from CDR again!!!

Running a landscape construction business means I rent often.I use CDR because I can depend on timely deliveries and quality , well maintained equipment.If I pick from their shop, they always have my equipment ready and waiting for me.I have rented from many others - CDR is my go to.Very highly recommended.

Was happy to be able to rent a skid steer on the long weekend. Bob the owner was very accommodating. He stated that we only needed to clean up the outside making sure it was not dirty. I did a complete cleanup on the outside and even cleaned the mat on the inside. It was as clean if not cleaner than when I got it. When I got the final bill I was charged for an hour cleaning of $65. I feel that this was unnecessary. So be aware that you if renting from CDR you will probable get a cleaning charge no matter what you do.

My FAVORITE rental outfit.Excellent service, friendly, polite and on the ball. I have been using these guys for 3 years now and their always my first call even if there's a closer place to my project. They meticulously inspect and service their machines. If something does break they don't waste any time bringing a replacement. The Kubota skid steers are a joy to operate, great visibility. A great selection of mini excavators for big digs to getting through a back yard fence. Also i find attachments here that not every rental place carries, large selection.Over all they are a great company to establish a relationship with because of the positive, can do, team player attitude!

Caution! If you rent from here know that they debit their deposit from your bank account. ($1500.00) as opposed to placing a hold like every other company in the city. Upon returning a clean machine they DO NOT RETURN the $1500.00 they withdrew. Instead they say they need time to inspect the machine which took them over two days to do resulting in $1500.00 being withdrawn and not returned until Friday despite the machine being rented for one day on Monday. AT the time of rental they said it was a hold, not a withdraw, basically hijacked $1500.00 for a week!! Not honest about their unusual methods and poor customer service/relation.

Rented many skid steer attachments from here in the past. Always worked good, Nice staff too. Would go back for sure.

You won't find service like this anywhere else. I rented a skid steer for one of my projects and accidentally snagged a line but they brought me a new machine in under an hour!! other breakdowns usually put me out a day so it was a big relief being able to get the job done on time. they will be the ones I call next time

Terrible service the whole time i was there they treated my dad and i like criminals we rented a auger from them that they said would fit my machine(it did not ) only 2hours driving no big deal they ate the cost(apparently) we then rented a skidsteer for a week from them to run the auger and do work with. they said i broke a tooth off the receptionist said it was 30$ hiwever when the invoice is sent they charged me 400$ for the rental and the repair to me it seems like they just tried to scam the cost of the other rental off of me in liew of the apparent damage, they alsoclaim the bit they gave me was brand new but the pictures they have and are binding me to are not that of a brand new bit inwill never rent anythimg from cdr and ypu best bet ill be lettin my buds in the residential lot grading industry about the scam service i recieved as they are constantly renting from cdr however the yard staff was corteous and friendly i have bin here before on numerous occassions as an employee of different contractors that rented from cdr i am quite apauled by the way were treated a
