I had the donburi and ox tongue.The ox tongue blew me, i thought they would be a bit shewy but it felt like i was eating a very yummy sea urchin with beefy flavour.The donburi was... donburi, needs a separate order of a side of soup, maybe a miso soup?They get really good seafood choices, cant wait to scrounge up and buy a whole cooked freshly killed lobster($40/lb market price).Went again after 4 months, still as professional and legitimate sushi place, really great menu and the food presentation is great. Still expensive.

I have had sushi a hundred times before but this was next level! Everything was delicious and scrumptious!Wow!I have never had lobster sashimi they served the tail raw and the rest was cooked so delicious!

We really enjoyed our time at Koganei. All the food was fresh and had great flavor. I particularly enjoyed our sushi and maki platter. Nice selection of fish and the sushi rice was well seasoned. My boyfriend loved their assorted seafood sushi pizza. It was SO good. Can’t wait to come back next time and try some of their speciality rolls. Good sized portions for the price you pay. Shout out to Sadie who was an absolute gem. Great service!

I like joints like this place where it seems off the mainstream path. Had dinner and there was maybe 2-3 other parties there.Perfect vibe to hold a conversation or do a group friends/family dinner. I like their booths. Comfy and spacious.The menu is extensive but I opted for unagi, Hamachi and some other fish nigiri 2x for all + Woodbridge & King something roll. Food was awesome. The mango in the Woodbridge wasn't sweet which would help but it's not really in season. The other roll had salmon roe, uni and I think tempura roll. So good! The fish tasted fresh and for the price was totally worth it!Service was awesome our server refilled our drinks constantly and was patient with us. Come here for good sushi even with so many options everywhere.

Worst sushi I have ever had in the GTA! Really not sure how this place has 4 stars? We ordered the 80 piece sushi and maki tray and this picture shows what was included; basically the cheapest possible items: cucumber rolls, avocado rolls, fake crab on rice and egg on rice?? The nicest " item was a dynamite roll. Definitely not worth the $90. Would prefer grocery store sushi over this overpriced restaurant any day."

Was craving for Japanese food while in the area and found this place in Google maps. I ordered a tempura set lunch. Food quality is ok. Server also very helpful.

Ehhhhhh.... The place is decorated really nicely and the staff is super friendly but the menu is so big like multiple pages it was very overwhelming as new customers, if you like options sure go for it.My husband and I love trying new restaurants but the food also fell pretty short. We ordered a pork don it was definitely overcooked, not very flavourful even with the sauce, and served with too much rice. Some sushi pieces truly carried the meal to just enjoyable enough to not walk out sad. Even the deep fried soft shell crab was dissapointing.And when we were ready to wrap up with one last order of 4 sushi pieces, it took very long to be served. With an over $100 bill in the end, we felt....unfulfilled. We've had better sushi at less than $100.

I have experienced the best restaurant service here. They have a wide range of sushi, soups, seafood and much more, it’s literally feels like never ending.They also have bar, including their authentic Japanese drinks.The food tastes amazing. It’s a bit pricey but it comes with the best and quick service.I would definitely recommend this place.

GOTTA be one of the TOP 3 in Vaughan for authentic Japanese cuisine. Outstanding variety of seafood including Fresh Lobsters. They have several dining room seating options, including intimate rooms like what I experienced in Osaka. They are above average in every way. Very reasonable prices and delicious plates. Very talented chefs, excellent service. Excellent choice for pleasure or business. Extensive menu, so take your time, and order to your preferences.
