Not 5 stars because the cost is so high now. You have to pay premium for a simple bibimbap in a stone pot.I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi and it was good. The spice level was what I expected and thankfully the salad was there with the banchan to even out the heat.Expect to pay $20 or more when ordering per person if you're getting Korean food. The sushi Bento, even on a daily special day, is gonna be over $20 as well.Service was decent for a single server and we didn't wait long for 5 meals.Single person men's washroom was clean and well kept. Nothing fancy.Parking is abundant, but not in front of the restaurant.

Such a cute little restaurant, great menu with Japanese & Korean dishes , which is hard to find outside of Toronto. The interior design makes every table feel more intimate and private which I loved! And very culturally designed. We got the volcano roll, malado roll , the salmon lovers meal and their japchae. Parking was easy to find and there was no wait time to be seated, I will definitely be back

Malado is a hidden gem!Great family owned and friendly staff, Food is always fresh and good quality.Daily specials are a great deal-WED is my fave’Terryaki chicken over rice, glass noddle, 8 spicy salmon roll, salad, miso soup, 6pc shrimp & veg tempura for $15.99.

It was a small place but food is surprisingly great. Place was clean, service was decent, prices are reasonable. Lots to choose from the menu, they offer Thai, Korean, Japanese. Soup base were all flavourful, bento boxes have good portions, appetizers are good too. Would definitely come back and try other dishes.. They also have day special" depending on the day of the week which was neat."

This place is a hidden gem in the North York area. The atmosphere of this restaurant is cute and relaxing. Been coming here for awhile now and the food has always been great, tasty and reasonable priced. Servers are friendly and prompted.Recommended.

The food was really good! We ordered Gam Ja Tang! The atmosphere is pleasant. There is only one server but she works hard and it’s probably a family owned and run business so this is the type of business we want to support! We didn’t have to wait too long and anytime we needed something, we simply asked and was served! Would recommend and go again!

The food here was better than expected. The restaurant itself was small but also cozy, with comfortable booths. The beef bulgogi bibimbap and malado sushi roll were both satisfying. The Korean side dishes were pretty standard. I was a bit disappointed that the yuk jae jang (soup) was just ok - I found that it lacked flavour compared to other places, on top of the beef being rubbery/ overcooked. It also would have been nice to be served some more tea / given a tea pot for self serve refills, as the tea was quite good in the tiny tea cups. As it's difficult to find good sushi places in the North West end of the city I would definitely return next time I'm in the mood for sushi. And to try more dishes!

This is the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The fish tasted like they were about to go bad and the rice was overly sweet. We ordered a large platter but the size was super small and the variety of the maki was ridiculous. There were cucumber and crab rolls. That’s like the cheapest poorly made rolls I have ever seen in a platter. Overall very disappointing and would 10/10 NOT recommend

I loved this restaurant and am a regular. But the amount of hair I found in my food was disgusting! I found one short strand and thought “okay one hair is fine” but then the amount I saw and even more that weren’t visible because the hair was black and so was the container was so nasty. I’m not sure if it was on purpose but I don’t see how this amount of hair was an accident. I don’t think I’d trust this place enough to eat there anymore. Such a shame, cause their chicken katsu was my favourite. PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOOD IF YOU DO ORDER/EAT IN THEIR RESTAURANT
