Vi's NOFRILLS Scarborough

Great place to buy whatever groceries you need, albeit ingredients for dinner or snacks for a party. This is my usual grocery place.Be extremely careful, however, their food quality control is not very good. There have been 2 occassions where their food has had mold in it. One time I bought some raisin bread and put it in the fridge. The next day I discovered some mold on it. Another time I saw some pastry product that had mold in it on the shelf.

This No Frills is clean, organized, and in the past year the store has transformed to carry a wide selection of Organic fresh fruit and produce, as well as a whole aisle full of Organic products ( such as Kiju juice, organic cereals, jams, cookies), and Organic dairy as well. We shop at Whole Foods and Loblaws as well and have found that this No Frills started carrying cheeses and products that we usually find at Whole Foods as well! Which is excellent for us, makes one stop shopping much easier! They also have earth friendly dishwasher pods and soaps, which we usually get from Whole Foods. Quite impressed that this No Frills has started to carry some higher end products.

This place is near Steeles Avenue, and not McNicoll Avenue. The picture (from NoFrills' website is attached) shows the true location. (I tried to correct the location in Google Map a few times, but it always erroneously goes back to the South of McNicoll location.)

It has a very good location but it is too busy the parking lot is busy. I see people with a handicap parking permit with no handicap people in the car parked in the handicap parking. The cashier lineup is too long and confusing. one line for shears and one line for self checkout, a lot of people didn't know what they were lining up for so it was a mess. The one thing was they have hand sanitizer in the entrance. and I saw staff keep cleaning the floor.

Very neat and clean no Frills with lots of Chinese groceries. It also has a Chinese bakery inside as well as a butcher and fish monger. Their on sale produce doesn’t alway have the most stock, but otherwise, it is a good location.

This is a good no frills" around the area. Well organized and almost everything is neatly placed. Bright and clean. The staff are also helpful."
