Sundown Motel

Clean room nice bed, pillows leave a lot to be desired as in there flat flat. Don’t plan on watching tv, 1000 channel tv with maybe 12 channels that will actually play an those channels are well for blind people or blind an deaf. Other than that not a bad place to stay.

Booked a 2 bed room, only to get there and they said I was getting 1 bed. The language barrier didn't help. My key card didn't work so they gave me the master key, which also didn't work. There was no fan in the bathroom so there was mold on the ceiling. The toilet leaked all over the floor. Parking was a joke. Definitely not staying there again.

I would highly.recommend this motel if you need a place to stay in Watrous. The level of customer service provided by Nona was top notch; she definitely exceeded my expectations and if I'm ever in the area in the future there is no question that I will book a room here. She clearly knows how to balance her many responsibilities while maintaining the highest quality of service. Thank you for this - it did not go unnoticed :)

I’ve stayed before and I reserved a room this last time. The lady that manages seemed to be on something and she gave away my reservation the day of so I didn’t have a place to stay. The last time I stayed there she also didn’t clean the rooms, when we showed up she said we couldn’t come in yet because she hadn’t cleaned them and that was at 7pm.

Good hot water and room heater. Smaller room, queen size bed, desk and two chairs. Fridge microwave and coffee pot. Staff was friendly, stayed here for work.

The Sundown Motel is an OLD motel. Not up to date. Small TVs, it at least had a fridge, and microwave. Definitely needs renovations done. It is a working MAN'S motel. Not for families.

Everything was good room's were clean I would stay there again

Terrible! no mention of freight trains running all night across the road. Neither my fiancé and I got a good nights sleep. Booked for two nights, but were not about to stay another. Paid up front when checking in, should have been a red flag. When going to check out the following day before I could explain our reason for leaving the lady at the front desk immediately told me no refund would be issued and that He's not going to lose money on this" he I'm assuming is the owner. Not understanding one bit

I'll be honest I really did not expect much when I pulled Into this place. Then I was greeted by the most wonderful lady by the name of nona (if I remember correctly) her good energy instantly made me forget about the terrible day i was having. She put me in a recently updated room the bed sheets and towels were all band new. The room itself was clean beyond my standards and I have very high standards when it comes to Cleanliness. She checked on me a few times during my stay to see if there was anything I needed. I stayed two extra days because I wanted to get to know her a little. Better, but it became quite obvious that she was single handedly running this entire motel she is the front end staff, cleaning staff, maintenance, and the renovation crew. How she is able to keep up and still be so happy, friendly, and positive idk but If i owned this place I would be giving her a raise before a more lucrative opportunity comes her way. All and all I recommend this place over all of the other options in watrous based solely on the service nona provides. I'll be returning next time I'm passing through that's for sure.

I've been coming to this motel for years and I'll keep coming back. The rooms are excellent for the price you pay. The staff are super friendly and professional.
