The Moose Bed & Breakfast
We love the Moose!! This was our third year coming up and it’s always such a treat. Debi and Calvin are excellent hosts, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and they prepare the best gourmet breakfasts. The rooms themselves are stunning (we stayed in the Birch Suite) and the hot tub is so relaxing after a day of exploring around town!

The most welcoming Moose ever !Thank you Debi and Calvin for your generous hospitality during our recent stay at your Inn. Upon our arrival we felt right at home. We really enjoyed your Inn and the site itself by the water with the available canoes. Your breakfasts were really delicious, and much appreciated; as were your advice and suggestions regarding specific details for surrounding places and activities.Continued (and well deserved) success to you both !

The Moose Bed & Breakfast
We stayed at The Moose last weekend, and it was STUNNING! The interior is very tasteful, clean, and comfortable. We stayed in the Birch Suite, which is the largest room, and would highly recommend it. This suite has a great sitting area to lounge or play games in, but there is also a comfortable living room downstairs for all guests to use. Debi, the host, was very hospitable and friendly, and she is an amazing cook!! My favourite part of our stay was the gourmet breakfast. If you're looking for a place to stay in Dorset, look no further than The Moose!

The Moose Bed & Breakfast
We stayed here this past weekend as part of a birthday weekend getaway for the wife. Never stayed at a B&B before and from this pleasant experience, it's apparent why this place has achieved so many awards and praise. There are 3 different rooms to choose from. We opted for the Birch Suite which is probably the size of 2 standard hotel rooms. From the initial booking, to the cleanliness of the property, the service, to the delicious home cooked meal, everything was on point. Regardless of the room you choose, Debi, Calvin and of course Rolo, are wonderful hosts (thank you!) . Needless to say, we strongly recommend Moose Bed & Breakfsst for any season or occasion in the area.

What a lovely B & B! Our family of four was looking for some family time and The Moose Bed and Breakfast helped make that happen. The Birch Suite was large and beautifully decorated. Debi and Calvin were always friendly and welcoming. Breakfast always delicious. The boating dock was a great plus.

It was my first time to Dorset and the Moose bed and breakfast my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay this weekend! Melody was very accommodating and very welcoming ! She even gave us the Birch room because someone cancelled! We will definitely go back !

Lovely hosts! The house is beautiful and so charming! The details are so meticulous and well thought out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back in the future! The food was spectacular, I am still dreaming of those poached pears! Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

We enjoyed our stay at The Moose B & B and would highly recommend a stay! Debi & Calvin are extremely gracious hosts and Debi is an awesome chef. Breakfasts were delicious & plentiful. You wont leave hungry. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.Sue & Brad

The Moose B&B is a great base for enjoying the surrounding Muskoka-region and Algonquin Park with everything between 30 min - 1hr drive away. The Sage suite is small and perhaps slightly overpriced, but you get to enjoy the communal area downstairs and can help yourself the various board games they have on offer. I would say to be mindful if booking for post-Thanksgiving as the restaurants in the town itself close for the season which meant driving to Huntsville for a sit-in meal. But, if you're prepared, you are able to use the BBQ area in the garden or treat yourself to some lovely fish and chips from the Fish Shack around the corner. And, like everyone else has mentioned before me, the breakfasts were brilliant. We will definitely keep Debbie and her husband, Kalvin, in mind for another long weekend trip to the area -- thanks again for your hospitality!

The Moose Bed & Breakfast
We stayed at Moose Bed & Breakfast for 4 nights for a long weekend. Everything was amazing! Their breakfast is 5 star! Debi and her husband were amazing hosts and have great taste in decoration. Their dog is also the cutest! Everything was super clean, also no sign of dust. There are more than enough amenities to make your stay a lot of fun. Barbeque, canoe, private dock, tv, a really big garden. We stayed at the Birch Suite. There was also a jacuzzi in the bathroom. It had a balcony viewing the lake and the garden. Everything was well thought out, from the coffee machine to capsules, plates, cutlery etc. There are also few pretty good restaurants nearby and it is also only half an hour drive away from Algonquin as well as Huntsville.
