Building a house can be a stressful experience and Gallant Homes managed to guide me through the process; helping me to make the decisions and choices that needed to be made as they came up through the construction process. They always went out of their way to ensure that my requests were answered and ensured that I was satisfied with the quality of the work. I would highly recommend Gallant Homes for any new construction or renos. A special shout-out to Byron, Andrew and Lyn for an amazing experience!

We built our custom home with B Gallant homes this past year. We were nervous going into it as we had heard it was a challenging time to be building and we really had no idea what to expect. Byron was extremely professional, efficient, responsive and made the whole process as simple and easy as possible. Communication was timely, direct and easy. Everything from planning to quotes to billing was transparent, clear and concise. We were welcomed to make any and all decisions we wanted throughout the whole process and guided gently when our ideas were not going to work out in the way we had anticipated. We felt like our input was truly heard and valued, and the house came together beautifully in less time than anticipated and actually under budget! All of his hired trades were respectful, efficient and showed great pride in their work. Cannot say enough good things about this company, would recommend hands down to anyone looking to build or renovate their home. They truly care about their work and will always go the extra mile to make everything perfect.

My sister had her ensuite done beautifully by B.Gallant and so we decided to call them for ours. We were just planning to renovate our ensuite initially but decided to do our kitchen and powder room as well and into the laundry room. Ken, our project manager, showed up early everyday to let us know what was scheduled for that day. He and the tradespeople working on our house were professional, courteous and obviously very skilled. The renovations were completed in good time and we are so pleased with the the result. We would definitely call them again if we wanted anything else done. We highly recommend B. Gallant Homes!

Interesting to note I posted my initial review two years ago and it was only replied to a week ago.As for what individuals put on the internet, be it good or bad, I have as much control over that as you do Byron.The pictures don't lie, you and I both know how you chose to handle this entire situation.As I've recently been advised, there are lots of good contractors out there. To anyone reading this, you are welcome to contact me as others have. I will show you the renovation work done to my home so you can make an informed decision.UPDATE: After meeting with Byron to discuss what needed to be done to properly fix our kitchen. Byron's only focus was to do a quick fix on the wall behind our fridge. It then took Byron over two months to get an email back to me as he wouldn't return emails or my phone call. He still won't address the lighting placement mistakes and other unfinished work that his crew left behind. To top it off in his final email he wanted to charge us for fixing the mistakes by his crew. Byron has been nothing but unprofessional and disrespectful towards both my wife and I up to this point. It's safe to say that I do not recommend this company at all. (Gallant has also blacked out my screenshots of emails that tell the truth of their mistakes, you can see them on my yelp" review)Lack of accountability and poor customer service. Most of the renovations done by B.Gallant to my home were satisfactory. Unfortunately any issues or problems that my wife and I found in their work were quickly dismissed by Ken their foreman in charge of the project . We had Steve one of the owners come by to look at the work and expected some resolutions to the above mentioned issues. This was well over six months ago

We had a complete remodel of our bathroom to create an 'age in place' ensuite. From demolition of the former, to completion took 16 weeks which, given the current material supply and staffing availability issues being felt country wide, was quite acceptable.All the B.Gallant team were courteous and pleasant along with their selected subcontractors and we were kept well informed by Site Manager Mike of the projects progress and when we could expect contractors and/or B Gallant employees to be on site. We are very impressed with the result giving us a lovely 'age in place' ensuite combined with an Asian touch, using colour to match an antique Chinese mirror which , along with the vanity, is the centre piece of the bathroom. Invaluable assistance in material selection, overall design and coordination with the cabinet maker was provided by Roné Dorsay of Dorsay Design.From Lynne, handling the accounting and post project photography , to Ken and all his team working on the project we are grateful for a job well done.

Back in 2019 Gallant Homes completed a major renovation at our home. Recently, four years later, an electronic switch that operates an exhaust fan failed. Gallant Homes sourced and delivered the difficult to obtain part at cost all within 24 hours with an offer to install the part as well. In our view, superior post-renovation service. My company was introduced to Bgallant Homes through a client in 2015 and after now many projects together (directly referred or indirectly ended up on the same project) Bgallant Homes is one of my top recommended contractors.We have worked together on all scope sizes of projects from small renovations to luxury custom homes.The design and construction industry has many challenges daily to provide services as we are continually working with different companies, different reps, new materials, innovations and industry updates. Byron , Ken & his team are extremely detailed orientated and educate themselves continually with the designs presented , preventing many onsite errors. They have always been on top of providing industry standard results and I have not seen anything less from them.Over the years, I've feel like I've seen it all with the different types of contractors. The biggest issue I see regularly (but not always) when I'm brought into a project with a contractor I'm unfamiliar with is the lack of involvement onsite, no attention to detail and no paperwork. Working along side Bgallant I've had the opposite experience. They provide formal paperwork, are very hands on and request detailing and organization from my company at it's highest level.Their rates are easily justifiable when I compare them to some of the other companies I've worked with. There is no flawless construction site due to the nature of our industry and I've never seen Bgallant leave a site in a manner that I would not recommend them or personally disagree with the quality.I constantly have feedback about how expensive renovating and building is and that is a fact from increasing shipping rates, currency exchange rates, recycling and disposal rates and the quality of work and materials, fixtures and finishes expected. I've yet to find low costs with good outcome and being in the industry we know why quotes, materials, fixtures, finishes etc. can be quoted less and look to be the same but can distinguish why they're not the same. Bgallant may select a higher bid or work with more expensive companies but it reflects directly on the quality.

We recently had Gallant Homes do what was to us a major repair to the foundation of our Nanaimo home. From the planning stages with Ken , through the construction, the entire team was very professional. They walked us through the city permitting, explaining the delays and pushing the project along.They were always polite and extremely neat, cleaning up completely every day. Every step was explained and re-explained as necessary until we were satisfied. We were welcomed to look over their shoulders and see the nature of the work, even when the concrete pump was pumping 5 cubic metres of concrete into the forms.. The job was done on time and on budget.This is a first class company with first class people. We would and have recommended them to anyone needing a contractor.Val and Al Ramsay

We hired B.Gallant to do a renovation on our 1953 rancher. Ken, Steve and the whole crew, including all the trades were very professional, prompt, easy to work with and did an incredible job. The site was always cleaned after the day's work, the workers were all very respectful of us and our cat! as we lived" in the house during renos.
