Nut Point Campground
Very nice campground with private sites surrounded by trees. Some sites with lake views. Facilities kept clean and maintained. No staff for checking in or picking up entry passes though. Mosquitoes really very thick. Overall enjoyed our stay.

I have swam this place a thousand times and I will do it again with my old body . Perfect little hideaway for a couple of days, make sure to bring the proper gear and leave the food locked up in an airtight container.

Great campground, interesting geological features being on the Canadian Shield. Nut point trail is also an excellent hike.

Hidden gem that not many people seem to know about. Never full, despite what the Sask Parks website seems to indicate (it's probably just showing you which sites are available for reserving, and since this whole campground is unreservable, it appears as unavailable even if it's empty). Great scenery with waterfront campsites. I spent this summer driving all over western Canada and this campsite was right up there with the best of them, and was cheaper than most of them. Next summer I think I'll save a lot of driving and just come north, likely spending a few days based out of the Nut Point Campground.Aside from the fantastic paddling that is Lac La Ronge at your doorstep, there is a ton of other paddling all around you. The Churchill River and Otter Rapids is about 80 km north, the Montreal River makes a nice whitewater run right at Air Ronge, Stanley Mission is 80 km, and the list goes on and on. These places listed make good driving destinations, too. The campground is also the start of the Nut Point Trail - a 16 km trail out to the point which makes a good overnight trip, though you can hike a shorter section for day trips.Being a pretty low-key place, it seems some of the maintenance is low key, too. There was a disappointing amount of garbage around some spots when I visited in August. That's likely due in part to local traffic.

Beautiful campground on the Canadian Shield. Sites vary a lot in beauty and privacy. Campground is basically right in town. First campground I've seen that locks things like wood up at night. A lot of signs notifying non registered campers that they're not welcome. We came to look, not to stay, but it was beautiful. Not sure if there are a lot of theft concerns? Would stay in the future. Beautiful views but we didn't see any beaches (makes sense I guess, being mostly shield?!)

It was great I had a blast! The one thing I'll say tho is I feel the can do a better job keeping the firewood stocked up other than that tho everything is great

Very nice. Lots of trees around each camp site; not too close to each other. Frequent RCMP patrols; seems to keep things quiet.

The campground is nice but it seems that no one staffs it. Someone was in our site when we got there, had to wait an hour for the conservation officers who couldn't find anyone from the park either. No one answers the phone and the showers were locked despite signs that said it should have been.Wish the province would give them more funding.
