When I was engaged, the first thing I would always say when the topic of wedding planning came up was that I wanted Mateen from the Curious Society for our wedding film. I have followed Mateen on Instagram for ages and would fall in love with each and every wedding film he posted.He was easily the best wedding vendor I worked with in terms of ease and promptness of communication, professionalism, and quality of work. He truly personalized the experience and curated every aspect of our film to fit my husband and my preferences and personalities. But what made his service go above and beyond is his kindness. He truly understands the art of filmmaking and has delivered a beautiful film that brings me to tears every time I watch it! My husband Aliraza and I recently worked with Mateen from The Curious Society to deliver a video series on the importance of supporting small businesses within the community. One of the things that was remarkable was that Mateen actively listened to our needs and from the first meeting and consistently focused on the main message throughout the production. His work ethic was exceptional and he ensured that we were comfortable in front of the camera and assisted us in staying genuine to the message. You can tell he has a true passion for what he does and that he is awesome at it! He listened to our ideas and offered suggestions too in order to create an effective video. We loved the final product and the video did a grand job of delivering the message effectively. as someone who's not a fan of the back and forth process when hiring a service of any kind, working with Mateen is a simple & easy, and it always leads to results way out of any expectations I may have had before starting a new project. he's fun to work with, doesn't ask for any fancy props or set ups, knows exactly what hes doing, & specifically caters his work to suit my artistic style, which is probably why his work ethic is so clean, original & comes from a genuinely place. In the lead up to my wedding, Mateen patiently listened to what my partner and I wanted our video to look like. He was incredibly responsive and present in the months leading up to the day. On the day of, his calm and relaxed presence helped keep me calm! He quietly captured absolutely everything and was just fun to be around! After that, we got our finished product so fast and it was exactly what we wanted. He captured all the smiles and laughter and personality of both mine and my partner’s families.
