Our humidifier was continuously flowing water out. We called and talked to Ian. After a check he advised the selinoid valve was defective. He ordered us a new part and installed. There was a problem with the water supply valve to the water heater and the humidifier and during the replacement he called his plumber contractor who arrived and replaced the water supply pipe and control valves (this was unexpected and we were without water for a bit). Ian and his team provided us with such great service and to top it off he said the service call was on him! So very thankful that he is operating such an honest business and has such a high degree of integrity. He said we were without water for a bit and he insisted it was no charge! I tried to say we must settle the bill but he would only say, call me again or my plumber if you need us. “Plumbing Dunn Right”.

After 17 years our furnace died. One call and Ian responded right away. He installed a new furnace and even fixed our fireplace (pilot light was out) for free. Excellent service and very professional. I would highly recommend this service.

When nothing worked he came same day within hours, diagnosed and quoted for the job. Very professional helpful and kind. Even offered space heaters so we could stay warm until the new furnace could be installed. Even better he moved his already busy schedule around to fit us in. Baker Home Comfort Services provides excellent communication and customer service. They were quick, punctual, reliable, and I will use them going forward for all of my HVAC needs.My Air Conditioner stopped working right after an intense heat wave, and Baker Home Comfort Services came in to inspect the unit the same day I phoned (which no other company I contacted did). The owner diagnosed the issue quickly, and went above and beyond by noticing other issues with wiring surrounding the unit. The unit took a few days to arrive but the installation was quick and he showed up right at the time he scheduled to do the install.I also enquired about ways to balance the temperatures in my household between floors (which were often 6-8 degrees difference), and after asking me some questions and looking around, he determined that it would probably be best to add another air return in the basement. He also tweaked the wiring on my thermostat which was previously wired in a way where I had no fan" function I could select. Since installing this return and adding the fan function

Had water leaking into my basement from my A/C unit during this latest heat wave. Called Ian, and he walked me through how to quickly fix the issue myself, without the need for a service call.It’s refreshing to encounter someone who genuinely wants to help people. He wouldn’t accept anything as compensation for his time, just made the request that I remember his name the next time an issue arises. Well Ian, you can count on that!

Called Baker Home Service for an after hours call today. Ian came very quickly and was very professional. He also took extra precautions due to the current pandemic which is appreciated. He quickly diagnosed the issue and cleaned the flame sensor. The furnace was up and working again in no time! I wouldn’t hesitate to call Baker home service again or recommend them to friends and family. Super professional, quick and most importantly honest!

Ian Baker is the real deal - I’ve had a number of furnace issues over the years and he is the first technician I observed using a multimeter to identify the source of a problem instead of guessing and replacing parts that didn’t need replacing. I watched him diagnose my issue by testing leads and reading the crazy furnace schematic. He took the defective part away, got it replaced under warranty, and returned the next business day to install it, all for a very reasonable price @ $240.

It was a pleasure working with Ian for our furnace, A/C and water heater installation. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and communicative, and went above and beyond to deliver exceptional service - even taking the time to help us with a couple of unrelated issues beyond the scope of our installation.
