Ontario Association of Social Workers
As a student, I highly recommend getting involved with OASW events and looking in to all of the benefits the association has to offer. The managers of the association are very accommodating to the financial situations of students (e.g. discounts to events/memberships), and also create fruitful opportunities to help students with thriving in the social work field (e.g. learning about contemporary social issues/networking with experienced social workers/presenting research posters at OASW provincial conferences). It is simply a pro-social work organization that is run by excellent management. Would definitely recommend to social work students.
