Great service and pricing

If you're looking for materials for your stairs, stay far away from this place. They came and took a template of my pie-shaped treads. I thought I was getting custom-made pie shaped treads but they were straight-cut generic pieces and this defeated the purpose of even taking a template in the first place. My installers had to custom-make the tread pieces on site with most pieces being off by 4-5 inches. Next, I thought I was getting wrought iron spindles but the spindles are hollow inside and then they gave me a cheap plastic piece to drill the screws into. Needless to say this didn't work and wasn't safe. Next the nosing they supplied was garbage. This has been a headache for my installers. All I can say is I'm thankful I didn't use them for installation. Also, Vivi will not take any accountability for this company's low quality materials. Avoid at all costs.

We visited stairs&iron after receiving a recommendation from one of my husband's friends. We are so glad we chose this place to get our stair pickets. We got so many great tips from the store owner about what to do and more importantly, what to avoid doing. My husband managed to change all the stair pickets by himself and it looks absolutely beautiful. Would like to give a big thank you to Mr. Massood for being helpful and giving us the best deal on the pickets and all the accessories and tools we needed for this project. 5 stars!

Pretty good no frills place, cheap stair and general flooring products. Don't go in looking for help, do your research before you go, but they have pretty much the best pricing.

I've been buying materials from this business for the past 3 or 4 years. You will be hard or pressed to find better pricing in all of the gta. I generally send my clients directly to this store, because of the large selection and options involved in stair finishing. The service is good, it may not be the best there is, but that is completely understandable, as it is very tough these days to offer the best pricing and service. All in all, I would recommend this business to anyone looking to build or update a staircase

I am a general contractor that had requested someone to be sent to my clients house to measure for glass railing, I had requested them to measure because honestly I had not done a glass railing previously and wanted a professional to measure, I had been to their store in Markham 4 times and had spoken to the sales lady on the telephone at least 3 times, she had told me that usually they do not send someone to measure but she will have to talk to the manager and if possible she will arrange it but if this was arranged then there will be a need of a deposit. Finally after a few calls and visits we arranged to meet with someone from their company. After arranging and cancelling 2 times the trades person showed up at my clients house, while measuring he found out that we only needed him to measure and that there will be no installation, at this point he became very upset and tried to make me look like I don't know what I am talking about and made me look like a fool in front of my client, so very nicely I asked him to leave and that I will take it up with their store, today after a few weeks I went back to the store asking for a refund but I learned that there will be no refund, she said it was a misunderstanding and I had misunderstood her, I am pretty sure that I had clarified and there was no misunderstanding, now, just to be clear I was upset, when they told me this and I yelled at them at the store, the $100+ tax is not going to make me or break me but running a business this way can break the business, I am still willing to update my review and come to an amicable resolution. The company knows how to get a hold of me.Until then I would be very hesitant to work with them.
