Specs and Suns

Spent $370 to buy a pair of prescription sunglasses with lenses cut crooked and jagged. Even worse, the two lenses are different thickness and sits on my face lopsided. I had heard their craftsmanship had gone down over the years so I even made a point to specify that they pay special attention in caring for the lens. AWFUL!!!

I love their staffs, they were very helpful and patient, even I kept trying their glasses....because they had variety of styles. For sure I will go back again and introduce this shop to my friends.

My whole family got glasses from Specs and Sun in First Markham Place. Great variety of frames for reasonable prices. Friendly and patient staff. I like their great service.

I have a high prescription and need a reliable optical store. Specs and Sun has professional staff with good customer service. Wide selection of frames within my budget. A long time returning customer.

I've been going here for years to get my glasses with my entirely family, but the service has steadily gotten worse with each visit.The last straw came when I recently went to get glasses for my mom - with her there of course. We went through the usual process; picked out a pair, gave them the prescription, had them do some measurements, paid the deposit. A week later, my mom went to pick up the new glasses and they didn't fit right. The focus was completely off despite the glasses being the exact same specs (pun not intended) as her previous pair, which was also purchased from them.The older lady we were dealing with was not helpful at all, raised her voice so the entire store could hear and blamed the issue on my mom's age and an inaccurate prescription - which was obtained from an eye exam only two weeks earlier.I would have lost my $#!* but my mom kept her cool and simply told the lady that if she wanted to force her to accept a faulty pair of glasses, so be it, but that she was incredibly disappointed with the service.Overhearing the commotion, a gentlemen who has been working their for years whose name escapes me at the moment but has been the only individual there who has consistently delivered good service, gestured at the lady. At that point, she walked off and a younger sales rep came over and told my mom that they wouldn't force her to take something that's faulty and offered a refund.It ultimately worked out in the end, but it was a painful encounter that left me feeling embarrassed for the store. We've since taken our business across the hall to Wales Optical - a pair of glasses for my mom, and sunglasses for my wife and I - and their service is considerably better.

I’ve been here for doing my glasses more than 3 years. They have Very good service and lots of variety of styles to choose. Also very professional. After sales service is perfect. They clean my old glasses whenever I request. Highly recommend to everyone!

Bought a pair of prescription eye glasses. They said it was ready. Called them to make sure the glasses would be ready for pickup before I drove from downtown Toronto to Markham - no answer. It's Sunday at 2pm, they're open until 7pm, so they must just be too busy.I arrive at 3pm. They're Closed for Inventory." Lame. Its a quick pickup so I try to get the staffs attention by standing at the door for three minutes. They gesture that they're closed. I show them my receipt. They ignore me. Finally

Horrible experience and broken communication. I ordered one box of contacts for my left and one for my right. When I came to pick up, they give me the same prescription for both eyes and chocked it up to math"... they said it's how they calculate things that other places might not and they do it this way but didn't think it was necessary to communicate it. Best place in FMP for sunglasses and eyewear. They carry a great selection, including some niche designer brands, and up to date styles. Pricing is pretty good, and while other places will substitute a cheaper lens if you haggle on price, they don’t do that here. Most importantly, the team is very patient and takes their time helping you find frames that fit your face and style. I start my search at other stores, but somehow always end up buying from Specs and Suns.

The specialist that helped us was very professional, patient and very helpful with our selection of frames. We would definitely recommend this store for anyone wishing to buy glasses. By the way we have been purchasing Glasses from this store since our kids wee young.
